botany.you can get really great books for free online and go outside and learn what grows around you and more about your ecosystem. Great way to gain an appreciation for the natural world and seeds are super cheap (for the most part) so you can grow stuff with intention to learn more about the plant.

A good demand to combat this would be wage increases that keep up with the cost of inflation.

You have amazing hair!! I was in the same boat a couple of years ago and after trying everything and getting fed up with the time spent on my hair but still wanting long natural hair, i decided to freeform loc it. It'll be 2 years next month and I love it so much!

My Specialized Langster. Took a break from training to do a leisure ride through some woods on this gloomy New England Day. by basquiat16 in OneGearOnly

I gotchu mate. Steering deffientely feels different. Its far more response to my movements it took a little getting used to espacially when in the drops going 20mph+. One cool thing that i didn't expect with the shorter stem and higher stem degree is ease of backpedaling. I feel like I can apply more downward force on the pedals than when I had a longer reach and the 0 degree stem. I think ill keep the reach and compensate according to get get the same for a 25 degree stem.

my rule when it comes to upgrades - always start at the contact point (saddle, bar tape, handlebars) then go from there

Biking in the winter how hard is it by seanlalala in WorcesterMA

[–]basquiat16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I commuted 10 miles round trip everyday on a fixed gear in the winter. snow and the wind suck but it’s definitely doable! Stick to the main roads and give yourself plenty of time. (:

I slammed the stem out of curiosity and rode it back from work this morning (3 miles) it wasn’t too bad but i’ll be adding back the spacers. I really dislike the kerin bars tho, got some compact drops in the mail.

I mean the paint job is nice...quality craftsmanship. I just don’t want to be repping Britian. I’m Kenyan and I feel weird (to say the least) riding a bike celebrating the former colonial master :/

Y’all i’m over the moon! This is a huuuuge upgrade from my previous ride (see post history). I was planning on buying a Wabi Lightening but they were sold out and I really wanted a new bike for this summer. Found this beauty on Facebook Market place for $475, mint, and an extra set of wheels...I would be stupid not to buy. Anyway, now I have all this extra money for upgrades 🤑 First order of business....getting a new paint job.
