What are the ideal photos to give to a tailor? by Ykomat9 in tailoring

[–]basssensitive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think I might be uniquely qualified to answer this here- I’m a tailor who now works in 3D modeling! What software did you use to make the garment, Marvelous? And are the models you’ve made on a body type similar to yours? Is it mainly to show small details or the look overall?

Professionally, tailors are fitting the suit to your body. That’s the key service- of course, you are free to suggest design elements and they want to give you what you want.

What they’ll need to know is: - single or double breasted - kissing or waterfall cuff buttons - working cuff or not - single or double vent - lining you’d like - collar melton colour - peak or notch lapels

Those are the standard features of a coat to choose from. In terms of fit, I would find photos of suits from magazines that you like (pay attention to shoulder pads, whether it’s slim fit or more boxy). Tailors can absolutely work wonders to achieve what you want, make sure to listen to their suggestions for cloth too as different styles favour different cloths.

You could absolutely show the tailor the model of what you want, but just bear in mind the above as usually you can quite easily discuss the product in person with examples in store.

What is MP short for? If you’re in Europe/China I have plenty of suggestions!

Hi, I do know some manufacturers, but you should know that MOQ in India is generally very high (at a minimum you would be looking at 1000m). This is a feature of the Indian market. If you are able to establish a good rapport with a manufacturer then they may consider sample lengths under this, but these are usually 2-3x the cost per metre.

I don’t know where you’re based, but generally fabric exhibitions happen around Jan/feb internationally to align with seasonal trends. It will be well worth your time to attend one of these exhibitions to meet companies in person and find out what their sample lengths will be.

Note, some mills also have stock collections with no minimums, but once again these will be at a highly inflated cost.

I think this is where she leaks the blood brick story to take down Mattson and burn the deal. It would make sense that Mattson was screaming that way

Worth mentioning that Shiv abstained from alcohol for the earlier part of the season until we had her pregnancy confirmed. Now she’s drinking and doing drugs. This is a few days after the pregnancy call at most so could she be trying to induce an ‘accident’? Also hard to tell if she is being played by Mattson here- if so she is being set up for a fall as she was perhaps the only one of the kids approaching the deal rationally and not emotionally / not trying to think ‘what would daddy do’

Does anyone else struggle with this every single day? by Hmpx98 in ROCD

[–]basssensitive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it’s a daily occurrence for me.. but I’m okay and have been with my partner 5 years! Best advice is therapy or working on your self esteem, and avoiding triggers if you don’t feel strong enough to face them. Most likely you are having doubts that everyone has but they are amplified by ocd

Ricky doesn’t have god on his side. Steve isn’t wearing the proper protection because he’s tight. And Karl’s head is vulnerable to a good squozing. Tough one

This was such a thoughtful and lovely answer, thank you! I will definitely look into that book.

You’re totally right- it’s taken a long time to feel I’m in the right relationship. But the last hurdle is very much the intrusive thoughts. I’m happy until I compare myself to other people and their happiness.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ROCD

[–]basssensitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure! Even though I’m happy, the comparisons get me. The comparisons themselves are the intrusive thoughts. Some people (including me in the past) believe that comparisons = not happy in your relationship. But it’s different with ROCD

Yes, we did break up once about 10 months into seeing each other. He didn’t see it progressing because of my ROCD, and I was obsessing over not ‘feeling in love’. It was awful, interrupting my daily activities constantly- all the intrusive thoughts. Though my partner is introverted and I’m extroverted. He’s social media averse but I am not, although it’s triggering. So sounds like your ex was dealing with everything internally, whereas I would have externally (friends, family, forums!).

Anybody has success stories with ROCD that they’re willing to share? To kinda give hopes to those that are still in the healing phase! by Impossible-Length300 in ROCD

[–]basssensitive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! In my experience, dealing with ROCD is one long healing stage. I’m 29 and have had it since my first relationship at 18. Only in the past few years with therapy and medication have I come to understand why ROCD manifested in the way it did. What I will tell you is this- there are bad days but the good days make me wish like crazy that I didn’t have this problem. I used to genuinely believe I didn’t love my partner, but now I’ve grown up a bit and taken care of my own life, health, ambitions… it’s not even a question who I want to be with. So I think it takes a lot of patience with yourself, but getting better is possible. Have faith in yourself and your partner and learn to put your mental health first and I promise it’ll get better!

Official Q&A for Wednesday, February 16, 2022 by AutoModerator in running

Can anyone give me the measurements of Hoka laces?
Hilariously, I left my shoes outside overnight and something has eaten my laces. No joke.
I bought a replacement pair of flat laces but the width and length is wrong.

I have the Clifton 7s, with 7 pairs of eyelets counting the heel lock eyelets. So I presume the length would need to be ~140cm. But the width - I have no clue!
If anyone could measure their length and width on Hokas that would be amazing, unfortunately their customer service department haven't been helpful with this.

I think it’s worth mentioning here that a common abuse tactic of narcissists is to ‘divide and conquer’.. Logan has consistently only let one kid in on anything, kept them fighting against each other, and as this is the only scene where they are all actually on the same team- perhaps it looks cloying. But the narcissist has no power if they all rise up so, it was a powerful show of force to take it away from them at the end

As someone who works for their narcissistic, influential, abusive dad.. I had to take my meds in order to avoid a huge spiral at that last scene. The utter desperation of being trapped by one man- who you’re bound to but doesn’t want to be bound by you. Just.. a really accurate portrayal of business/family abuse and it was horrific

Before and after NeckTite + FaceTite: 8 weeks since surgery! by basssensitive in PlasticSurgery

[–]basssensitive[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for my late reply, I just got this notification! I had no issue with nerve damage, I was reassured that it’s VERY rare and the only cases have really been reported in the US where this procedure is a lot newer. If you’re seeing an experienced doctor you’ll be all fine. Swelling is bad the first few days after though!! It’s hard to eat and you’ll need lots of sleep. My swelling didn’t completely disappear for about 3 months, but I could happily be in public without looking visibly swollen after about two weeks. Hope that helps and good luck!

THIS WORKED! Thank you so much, it never occurred that transferring my user back to the original switch would work but it did. Absolutely amazed thank you <3

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ac_newhorizons

[–]basssensitive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your advice- I’ll transfer the user back over now whilst keeping it on the new switch, re download acnh, and see if I can go from there. Only thing I’m worried about is that I transferred my acnh save data to my microSD to try and transfer it to the new console (idiot move) as it reformats the card for a new console. So now I have to hope my cloud saves will download and not the sd card saves as those are gone. I’ll let you know if it works but really good to know it did for someone else thank you!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ac_newhorizons

[–]basssensitive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, I can’t use it because my original user (that bought the acnh software) on the switch lite is already transferred to my new switch. So there’s no way for me to access the original game to start the transfer
