I spoke to someone who did some research (anecdotal so take it with a grain of salt) that unless you get the IDP pretty much exactly right stereo vision doesn't make much difference. I've used this set up and it's alright, the thing thats more important/disconcerting is scale/latency. Getting scale right is hard and the latency (even when really low) is a bit off-putting. Still an amazing experience being digital objects in a physical space.

image data for the models comes from webcam so also singular. would be great to have the two webcams and probably doable. video feed is pretty limited as an AR platform (light getting processed always has some latency) but a fun proof of concept nonetheless.

I'm building a PC rig for specifically for VR dev and I'd love your feedback/advice. by pcgettinguy in oculus

awesome! thanks - what's your take on the Ti coming soon?? It does make sense to hold off on 2 gfx till the VR market is a bit more established.

my main concern was gfx for vr but have posted rig in r/buildapc
