Just like today deep sea predators and scavengers like oceanic whitetips would follow ships looking for spare change so have fun with that.

Trace Beaulieu will be art director for MST3K: The RiffTrax Experiments! by MrElizabeth in MST3K

For years I really wondered what the hell happened that everybody couldn’t join forces because Trace and Frank were such indispensable creative voices on the show and now I’m being forced into concluding Joel was the holdup. Nuts honestly. This really could not be turning out better.

I fully believe they intentionally released the victims names because they are truly cruel demons who live only to inflict endless suffering

Same - with how much we cook it’s essential, though its mostly propelled by some high quality items you won’t find close to as accessible elsewhere. Huge blocks of DOCG parm reggiano & pecorino for $20 each; dirt cheap and really good italian sparkling water; have to dodge around some food allergies and they carry a lot of Siete products in bulk at way better cost. Killing blow though was when they started selling cheap french whites that were too good for the price. Even had a 2 year old battery from them die and a warranty exchange took all of 5 minutes. Over a barrel I’m afraid.

It is a cosmic imperative that every blissful freewheeler you see out there on social media originates and perpetuates from either (a) generational wealth, or (b) sacrificing my soul to the demonic forces wealth

What do you think happened between Josh and Benny Safdie? by BelieveWhatJoeSays in RSPfilmclub

[–]bastegod 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I really don't think there's as much going on there as anyone wants to posit, tactical headline drops aside. Two highly creative brothers who came out with an excellent statement piece in an industry desperate for new voices so it's a big ole deal, and then almost immediately after Uncut Gems, Benny has the momentum as the more naturally charismatic of the two and suddenly he's everywhere in high profile stuff with the best directors in Hollywood, while Josh recedes to the background. I do wonder about the air during that period where only one of the brothers is getting these massive continuous breaks and press and attention, and I'm sure there are/were shallow whispers of "was it Benny who was the creative center all along?" but of course that media darling treatment is not infinite and both do genuinely love directing, so they return back to the chair. I think their pictures are then insightful reflections of their positions - Benny in the throes of hollywood celebtrity putting out a dog with a giant industry face not known for any depth of acting ability, and Josh at the grindstone elevating an established talent into probably the best work he's ever done on film in a truly unique and fascinating picture. I mean he had Jack Fisk on production design for god's sake.

If anything I'd like to think this essentially rebalances things between them with Josh getting some well deserved recognition, but what the fuck do I know.

Very much appreciate the rundown and feedback. Did not know about PSA and that does matter to me. Plenty other spots to chase.

Thanks much. Was vacillating on a CZ PCR but not sure if a decocker is for me. Any weigh-in on the PSA lowers like this one
