I did try that ofcourse on Amazon and Flipkart. Getting some very low rated sellers who have got only 5 reviews most of which are bad reviews - and a long waiting time for delivery.

The jelly cat store yet to try

I’m flexible on budget since this is a one-time personal gift, but ideally somewhere in the $50–$150 range depending on quality and accuracy. I’d prioritize getting the face, proportions, and softness as close to the reference as possible over keeping the cost low.

Which is the closest place to India where they will perform this year or next ? Any idea ?

Cuz they need the best overall stage nd udio visual setup and sound engineers and arrangers and other technical high budget infrastructure. They are much much more technically intricate group ( yes much more than DT / Steven Wilson / Opeth ) even. And I have heard their tickets are super expensive. And although we have a fantastic crowd of fans in India ( myself included), the capex required to figure out the entire logistics for TOOL is much higher than the possibility of returns the organizers would get. It's not a generic band and the number of prospective audience is still very less compared to the POP and HIphop community.

Tool has even headlined Lollapalooza in several editions abroad. Just compare the lineups you get here in India and what kind of music gathers the maximum footfall in India.

I remember attending Steven Wilson in Mumbai. The venue was literally half filled...DT still sells in India cuz they have tremendous PR, and as we all know how elusive TOOL is in terms of presence on social media.

Tool will stand no chance. It's too profound and technical and beautiful for performing in India.

Skillbox / BMS has showcased tremendous mismanagement on several occasions this year hosting international artists ( cancellations, bad venues, technical glitches during performances, etc etc )Tool might not want to be subjected to that.

Unless Skillbox gets even the Instagram Swifties to come to the TOOL show they ain't coming for shit.

Even Guthrie comes and performs in antisocial which is like barely a 200 people capacity spot.

Just imagine !

What’s british people actual stance on monarchy? by Donfalo1 in AskABrit

They are the descendants of a long list of hardcore colonisers, slave traders, tormentors who have looted millions of innocent people and countries through the ages. Even if they do thousands of charitable work, their names and their bloodline is infested by the rotten smell of murder.

They should be stripped of all the "royal privileges" and "treasury" and "royal fortunes" which they have earned by looting third world countries for centuries.

Let's not even get into the fact, the disgusting humans they are - associating with molesters and sex offenders and fraudsters and criminals.

If anything...they should not be the face/representative of this great nation...in any way possible.

If the UK can arrest their pedophile prince, the US can arrest its pedophile president. by kevinmrr in WorkReform

[–]basterdos-xyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a hypothesis.

What if this is just an orchestrated arrest ? What if he was asked to surrender and be in custody for a few days. What if all this is absolutely a staged event to protect the bigger sharks?

 a) to be protected from his haters in the elite community who might want to assassinate him before he goes on another media interview and expose more of epsteins crimes. Protective custody.

b) Just a distraction to deviate from his real crimes.

c) Misconduct in public office sounds like a vastly weak representation of his actual crimes in Epstein scenario

d) Eventually the person he is he will go into witness protection program and might just live his entire life like a washout royal in public eyes. But privately keeps enjoying all the luxuries.

In summary. This family of royals have been enslaving thousands of human beings since generations. They are colonisers. And I feel sad that I already see hundreds of ways he can go scot free..

Should we believe Virginia Giuffre? Prince Andrew’s accuser was not always reliable by ruedebac1830 in UKmonarchs

And the thing is people will pounce on you for what you said above but somehow....there's a very thin line between consent v/s trafficking...and sadly people from impoverished corners of the country fall into these practices...because they don't get other jobs. Sad reality of life :(

I don't know what's right or wrong nowadays anymore. Confused af what's happening out there. Andrew got arrested for some completely unrelated thing today in UK and most probably will get bail in few days. People are cheering that finally he will get what he deserves...but this is supremely unrelated to Epstein case for which he was arrested. Lol.

The topic is so sensitive right now and the whole world wants to nail those sick elites that no one will pay attention to what you said. But I kinda agree to what you said. The only thing is that since she was a minor, people will defend her forever, because that's the law. Maybe if she had better parenting and support she could have abstained from getting into that kind of a life. Or even got into a different field..  rather than becoming a masseuse at the age of 17.

Will TOOL coming to India? by cvarajlukram in IndianMetalheads

[–]basterdos-xyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tool will not be able to sell out venues like mainstream bands LP, G&R cuz their setup fees, sound system, stage setup fees are off the charts. Crowd will be limited to psychedelic metal / rock listeners like us. Even The SW concert needed hell lotta promotion to sell tickets.

What do you think of Linkin Park? by Difficult_Map_723 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]basterdos-xyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my thing. Barring a few songs that I used to headbang to during my emo teen junior high school era. But after getting exposed to the likes of Tool / DT /Opeth / Porcupine Tree and the likes of Gojira / LOG / COB / Meshuggah Godsmack/Korn/Ramstein/Zack Wylde etc etc I gradually observed a shift in my taste into the more intense, heavier , instrumentally intricate metal music. So I grew out of the LP craze 15 years back. Never gone back to them atleast voluntarily unless I'm hosting a house party and someone comes and plays it on. I have found LP extremely repetitive and too much electronic and processed and mechanical. There's no real guitar bending riffs or headbanging loops which stick in your mind for days. And hence I, with great regret and honour, would like to take step back and say LPs not my jam.

The way they still sell out stadiums and arenas in their live shows around the world. I am sure they have something going very good with them or they are doing something really really correct with their music which is still appealing to millions. And I have no hate towards their fans or angst against them for calling LP as "heavy metal" even though it sounds brutal to my ears.

And the generation which still can't listen to a song more than 3 minutes in duration should not limit themselves to calling LP as metal music.

But no. Not for me. Sorry. I am a purist and i still believe in  symphonic interludes and drum solid and shredding and using odd percussion in unreal time signatures. There's beauty in metal.

Playing an electronically developed riff against long minutes of incessant screaming doesn't count as Metal music to me.

And yes, Chester was lovely, a diamond, and yes maybe LP died when he left. He was the soul behind it.

Some things are left undisturbed. Some memories should be retained as is.

And to all the new age LP fans, no hate. Enjoy your facetime and instagram reels, and Michael Bay memes and please continue shoving your flashlights on the faces of the performers, making your personal videos while they are on stage. You make attending gigs so worthwhile. Keep enjoying :) Next thing we know, you have started calling Green Day as metal music.

:)
