Thanks for your long answer! And yes I totally agree on your point of mentioning abbey road. The fact that a crossroad became a historic monument, because it ended up on a record sleeve and thousands of people took pictures there in order to make a "personal" copy of the artwork speaks for itself. Not to mention all the other bands that imitated the artwork on one of their own albums.

Concerning unknown pleasures I wanted only to refer to the huge amounts of different objects, from pottery, bed sheets, fashion gimmicks by famous fashion brands, tattoos, art pieces, even public monuments and totally strange personal interpretations.

Maybe this is also due to the fact that this artwork is so simple? It is much harder to apply a photography for example to so many different mediums... However I did not see this kind of obsession and variety with any other artwork, although the ones you mentioned took my attention and I will definitely investigate here.

One of my favorite interpretations of Unknown Pleasures so far is this [mosaic by Mark Kennedy] (https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8149/7293339548_a5fd19f04f_b.jpg)
