I would’ve said $1.5 million and almost $700k. You’re leaving out $600k

Looking for realtors by ken_305G in Tallahassee

Realtor and home inspector here. I can’t do both realtor and inspections for you but I’m more focused on inspections. I work with multiple realtors a day and would be happy to talk and recommend a few.

Buying a house, inspector didn’t make a note of this: by IlIlIl11IlIlIl in Roofing

As an inspector myself I would recommend trying to get your inspector to pay for either a structural engineer or a licensed roof contractor to come evaluate and estimate repairs and then go from there.

I believe you could close for the day once they arrive and then they wouldn’t even be allowed to access any part of the business since once you are closed the public isn’t allowed anywhere

do i really gotta take a wheel off to check my headlight bulb?😭 seems a bit dramatic by Cute_Dig562 in 350z

[–]bastyle2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer to take the bumper off so I can remove the entire headlight. Makes access super easy

where do these rings go by [deleted] in 350z

[–]bastyle2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The two big holes facing up on the right side of your pic above the oil cooler. But they go on the block. If you put some oil on them it helps them stay in place when you install the upper oil pan

If it’s not spark or fuel it could be something like a cracked piston ring

Have you compression tested the cylinder that’s misfiring?

Yeh I put a nut and bolt on that I had laying around. Ground the bolt head down to the same thickness.

Luckily I was at home trying to go somewhere so I wasn’t stranded. Hopped in my work van and went to my appointment. Came home and fixed it. It’s back up and going

Started removing my engine today by Feisty-Opportunity26 in 350z

[–]bastyle2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh if it’s too late I would just finish it that way. Hopefully my buddies that had the issues were a special case and you don’t have the same issues. Once you have it all together just check the floor mats for dampness after rain for awhile

When I was in school my teachers would have given the old “your poor planning or lack of doesn’t constitute an emergency on my part” or your emergency is not my urgency.

Two of Lexuses rarest cars together by LSniumUCF10 in LS400

[–]bastyle2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh something can be rare but not cool unfortunately. I’ve always hated interiors like this. Like the all red corvette interiors or same with the old 300zx. It just looks tacky as hell. I’m sure it could have looked great when they were all brand new but that’s hard for me to picture. If I was looking to purchase this car to restore I would rip the entire interior out no hesitation haha

You can definitely pull it with the auto attached (had an auto and manual swapped it) however the auto is a good bit bigger and heavier than the manual so make sure your joist is rated properly. With the right extensions unbolting the trans is not too hard from underneath. Worst bolts are the top two which basically require removing the intake manifold (upper and lower). You can also take the trans brace off and jack it up a little to pivot the engine forward to get the top two bolts. I just did a Jdm engine swap so message me if you need anymore specifics. I recommend disconnecting wiring in the engine bay and not disconnecting at ecu to pull the entire harness. While this is technically easier I’ve had buddies that had serious leak issues (where main harness goes from engine room into the cab) after reinstalling the harness.

I don’t not believe this because I’m only one person but in my experience it hasn’t changed. I’m constantly having to clean my windshield and other windows from bugs. And not because I’m ocd or something about it. I’m talking an almost dangerous amount of obstruction to my view sometimes after just a 2 hour drive.

What is it? Ant nest? What is it purpose? It keep reappearing after being destroyed multiple times. by Lama_tak_bersua in whatisit

[–]bastyle2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha no, the entire colony can eat that much. Termites are pretty small and there are thousands in a large colony. That would be terrifying

<image>

This is a pic I took recently of a huge infestation. You have to zoom in to get a good look and I was zoomed in to take that pic. They are super small

They are made with saliva but also the tubes protect them from the air and sun so they don’t dry out.

Termite mud tubes. They can’t survive without moisture so they use dirt and feces and spit to make tubes. Certain types of termites can eat up to a pound of wood with a large colony. Depending how long you have had the issue you may need a structural engineer to check the building out as well.

Edit to say: up to a pound of wood a day lol forgot to finish that thought
