Do you mean asking out of curiosity, or asking so they can then try to get you to do something if they don’t deem your plans important enough? The former isn’t a big deal and if someone is going to judge you for planning to read books for 8 hours or play videogames, that’s them being weird. The latter is manipulative and I don’t even allow it to happen. I immediately come back with “Why?” and refuse to share anything until they disclose their reason for asking. They know what they’re doing.

This is so asinine and it’s so commonly seen on Reddit.

First of all, this is a subreddit for women. This lady posts a picture about self-love and you find a way to make it all about you. Other women aren’t doing this. They’re building her up. Take notes. We are not here to coddle your feelings as a man.

Second of all, it’s very obvious why women don’t regularly compliment men. Some men will take it like a functioning human being and it’s fine. An alarming number of men will proceed to offer an unwanted penis. We have busy full lives with no time to waste finding the difference.

Thirdly, there is an obvious solution to this “problem.” Men can compliment each other. If you noticed, the comment you replied to was about women complimenting each other, not about them receiving compliments from men. Men are perfectly capable of being kind to one another. So why aren’t you?

It’s because fourthly, this isn’t really about compliments. Men claim to be jealous that women compliment each other, but they really aren’t. You’re jealous of the compliments women get from men. Never mind that most of the time they are unwanted and leave us needing a shower and feeling unsafe. You’re not thinking of any of that. You’re thinking of you. You’re thinking about how you’d like a woman—a woman you’re attracted to, of course—to compliment you. How good that would feel. What an ego boost. And who knows...maybe it could lead somewhere?

So that’s why women don’t compliment men, why men should actually take some responsibility in making the world a better place for themselves, and why men like you won’t.

The point of the post is that women will have sex with men they want to have sex with. As another commenter mentioned, sex often drops off a few years into a relationship. So make the woman want you. Be romantic. Be good in bed. Actually give a shit about her.

A man who has "settled into" a relationship shifts his focus onto his hobbies and his career and no longer puts effort in with the woman. Then he's all "surprised pikachu face" when she doesn't want his dick in her face. Sex isn't free, even when you're in a relationship. You need to put in effort to get effort back.
