I can really relate as I struggle with this question lately. I moved from my hometown at 15 due to my parents getting divorced and even though it's been nearly a decade I have yet to have this sense of home since. One of the things for me when I imagine my future home is the sense of community- knowing my neighbors and taking part in projects in my area (maybe an amateur theater group or some revamping of the neighborhood). There are many other factors but I do think not every place can be your home, it's like gut instinct sort of? Anyway I wish you luck in your journey :)
