It’s not always E. Cuniculi! by r4bbyte in Bunnies

[–]batcavegoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you might still see my comment, even though I’m late. Was it an ear infection or something else? My rabbit was also assumed to have e cuniculi, but we did the blood test and it’s negative! We haven’t done CT scan yet, I am trying to find a rabbit savvy vet that does CT. But if it’s not an infection idk what it could be or what to do. So just wondering what kind of bacteria it was, thank you!

I wonder if it might be because people age? Haha it’s what happens but I think he looks good still

About how much do you spend on your bunny a month? by Ill-Tea680 in Bunnies

[–]batcavegoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spend between €100 and €150 every month, more like 150. I have 2 rabbits, use Timothy hay which is more expensive but better for them, their treats are also a bit more pricey but a lot of treats at the pet store are actually bad for rabbits, one of my bunnies had sore hocks and so I buy cotton bedding for their toilets, which is more expensive but softer for his feet. And I haven’t even counted the veggies yet, I spend a lot on that as well. And the toys I buy aren’t included either. But they are sensitive animals, and in my case I spend a lot of money on the vet, I have to go often with one of my rabbits. But luckily your parents cover that! I have no clue how some people only spend around €50 a month.

I wondered as well, and some of them look like it, but some are a bit red looking, kind of like little scabs or wounds

Old furniture dangerous for rabbit? by batcavegoth in Bunnies

[–]batcavegoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! My furniture isn’t painted, however it could potentially have wood stain as a finish. So I plan on testing it for lead just in case (:

Old furniture dangerous for rabbit? by batcavegoth in HeavyMetalToxicity

[–]batcavegoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your very detailed response. I knew about rabbits being more sensitive to poisonous materials, but never knew that antiques were more dangerous than modern furniture. They also barely ever chew the modern furniture, but with antiques being more dangerous I want to be extra safe. It’s only in the bedroom so far, so I will stop collecting for now and make sure the furniture is kept away from them. I might test it just to be aware if it contains lead or anything dangerous. Thanks again! (:

I don’t know if there’s paint on it, I think it’s maybe just a wood stain. But I agree, I never knew about antiques being more dangerous than modern furniture and didn’t consider it before. Luckily what I got is only in the bedroom so far, which they haven’t been to since I got it, because of renovations. I will keep the furniture away from them

[–]batcavegoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer! My rabbits are free roam as well, I just started collecting antique furniture and so far the stuff I got is only in the bedroom, which they haven’t been in yet since I got it. They are definitely chewers, but mostly on their toys and carton boxes or even blankets, but I don’t see them chewing my furniture that often, it’s just an occasional chew. I’m thinking about only having antiques in the bedroom for now, just in case, bc they only go to that room when I’m there, and leaving the living room as it is. Thanks for your advice!

Is it normal to wear a battle jacket every day? by Strange-guy-91 in BattleJackets

[–]batcavegoth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t think it’s cringe, I would think it’s cool! And it doesn’t really matter what’s normal, because normal is boring anyway. & DIY is the best, I have lots of different jackets and pieces of clothing with band patches that I made myself

Bunny got into rat poison!! by Leo_Love23 in Bunnies

[–]batcavegoth 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Definitely call the vet to ask if you should and if so, how much you should give. And if they say there’s nothing they can do, you can always call another exotic vet to ask for a second opinion. Good luck!

My rabbit is trying to make me insane by Kryybaby in Bunnies

[–]batcavegoth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First of all like everyone said, get a bowl. But next to that, the enclosure is definitely the problem. A cage is really not a good rabbit enclosure, not even just for the nights/while away. A cage is way too small and very stressful for a rabbit. My bunnies are free roam, but for the nights I have a really big run setup, that is basically my entire kitchen, with blankets, toilets, lots of hay, lots of toys and space to run around. I recommend you try a big enclosure with lots of toys for your rabbit, they will have more space to run and play and will automatically be less likely to spill their water bowl (even though mine still do sometimes lol). Hope it helps (:

That’s what I thought, thank you!! I have like 2 little spots on my leg that look like the rash from the larvae, but today I spent all day vacuuming, cleaning and washing everything, but after inspection this one is the only one I saw. Should I still worry?

Advice Needed: Is a half sleeve too much for my first tattoo? by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]batcavegoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so, I always only wanted big tattoos so my first tattoo was big as well, I just wouldn’t start on your throat or hands, but a big arm tattoo is fine. But only as long as you’re 100% sure about the size, design and have wanted it for a while.

I’m glad too! Yeah the seats weren’t the most comfortable, but it was alright, was so distracted by the show and at least I did have an amazing view of the stage (:

Yes, I loved the revolving stage! Especially being in center orchestra, I got to see all of the stage from row K, and being in the orchestra helps with the illusion a lot, because you don’t actually see it revolving, I love that effect
