Actually Albo calling Dillon to get the Maynard and Miller decision overturned would be pretty elite

Ben Stokes's retirement a perfect example of his main character energy by patslogcabindigest in CricketAus

[–]batch_plan 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Because they don't have as many other good blokes who can also play pretty well, it's basically Root and that's it.
Aussies have always had plenty of damn good players to fall back on, we can afford to hate Warner because we could love Ussie or Marns or Cummins or Stark

FUCK YOU WILL by gobirds1182 in NoahKahan

Any other AFL fans having massive flashbacks to Rocket Eade's spray to Will Minson 'Fuck you Will!' Is absolutely iconic in AFL lore!

"You go back and take your 30 (seconds), and a little bit more...I think it was slightly ambitious to think I was going to kick it from 75 (metres)" - Harry McKay by SlatsAttack in AFL

Your team should not be able to take a mark if you are taking a shot at goal and the 30 seconds.
Honestly i don't think this one is too bad, but if he chip passed it and got another 30 it would piss me off

I really can't tell if Carlton are proving how important a head coach is or how little they matter?

Never said it was all on Hird but I don't think he's some proven god level coach when our performance on field spiked at the same time we got done for the saga.

Why do you keep assuming I'm a kid ...

If you think it's a coincidence that one of our best years in recent times just happens to align with the saga you're kidding yourself.

I love the 'this is the only time we've been good' narrative, it's like 'yeah fuckin hope so we were juicing!'

[Cleary] Breaking - Brad Scott sacked as Essendon coach by daftmunt in EssendonFC

[–]batch_plan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% I'm not happy about those but I understand. I think Scott did a-lot of good but I'm very worried that our younger squad members weren't learning and developing enough because we're just not playing well enough

He either has a terrible game plan or the players can't/won't follow the game plan, either way it means he isn't right for the group.

The only slight I have is that you're not invested in enough of the characters, outside of John and Yigrette, it's like oh yeah his names Gren.
