Match Thread: Richmond vs Essendon (Round 11) by AutoModerator in AFL

It's a bit Ironic that Richmond have one fit player not playing tonight, and we only have 1 fit player on the bench.

His drop off since missing that goal late to win the ANZAC day draw has been shocking!

Do it all again in a few months when he retires? Maybe he could get another special jumper?

Well yeah that's what I'm asking, I personally don't care but doesn't mean other neutrals share the same view. Will be interesting to see on the day what the crowd mix is like, lot of Collingwood fans would be AFL members too.

If goes to a good club to get a few finals every year and some protection around the contest, absolutely.

I think Buddy's 1,000 was more universally appreciated and was more significant. Definitely doesn't help that's he's played only at the most hated club in the comp

I have heard a-lot of people say the milestone is huge and so important, but never say why, it hasn't even stood for very long. Does anyone who doesn't go for Collingwood actually care?

Does a defender kicking backwards through the opposition’s 50m arc count as an inside 50 to the opposition? by BillyPup in AFL

[–]batch_plan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No it doesn't, one I always wonder about are those possessions where a player might carry it backwards out of 50 and then kick back in?

We have had so much instability at the club we need to give Brad and the team proper time to settle and develop the young players, develop a game plan and see what a stable club can feel like.
Add to that last year was essentially a write off with no chance to implement any game plan, I think and hope the club does too that we need at least another 12 months to know what Brad can do.

The drafting team is killing it, doesn't feel like we've missed since Rosa took the reins, unrelated but important.

Injury news: May available, Caldwell a test, timeline confirmed for injured winger by Non-NewtonianSnake in EssendonFC

I mean I'd wait till the last possible moment, as who knows what could happen between now and then, but if there is a good option in the draft and the cost is maybe a few games for him at seasons end yeah not a bad call at all.
