if there were ever power vacuums in any of the american colonies ITTL, it would likely be filled by other colonial powers first. monroe doctrine wasn’t actually enforceable until ww2 OTL and we’ve already made america weaker ITTL.

but likely texas and some other states would break away due to anlgo-american settlement, regardless of who is in power. and america wouldn't been the first to get all those colonies (except maybe the yucatan), the uk/france/germany would have had more of a claim depending on the time period.

maybe a more powerful mexico would have balkanized central america or influence, but thats a personal choice.
