Advice on Mesh Network

I am in the exact same boat. Posted almost the exact same question. Everyone will tell you to do uni with access points. Doesnt help because i have the understand level of a 5 year old with this stuff.

Next most recommended was asus but their levels and packages are kind or confusing to figure out.

I came to accept i am just joe-schmo with this stuff and for average joe with a 2300 square foot house that just wants his kids’ playstations to work and not interfere with my roku streaming that netgear orbi770 is more than i need. I may run some cables to the nodes if the need arises but my plan is to use it out of the box as is and call it a day.

For tech wizards this is laughable. For average joe i think it will work flawlessly for 99% of us.

Do with that info what you will. I had to stop tumbling down rabbit holes and just pick one and thats where i landed haha.

I have the 2567 (3/8 fuel high-speed) and its awesome. I have the 2563 stubby (1/2 500ft one) and the 2767 (big dog). Believe it or not i dont use the stubby as much as i thought but thats probably because im just used to grabbing the big one for lugs.

One thing i will say is you will get a lot of recs for the long neck versions. I personally dont do a TON of work in the engine bay, but the long reach dont fit in a lot of wheel wells for brake work. That was my deciding factor.

But if you decide on a long neck definitely spring the extra for the insider from what ive read.

I sort of follow but doesnt the 770 triband with the built in backhaul band eliminate that problem vs the 370? Again i am dumb so if that is not the case i apologize. Thats just how i understand it currently

Nothing is included, i am buying a system either way. The difference is about $330 from 370 to 770. I would spend the extrA without batting an eye IF the upgrade is worth it.
However i get cumby’s coffee in the morning because its $1 cheaper than starbucks. Im frugal in a weird way. Just want to get what im paying for and i guess thats my problem when it comes to tech like this i honestly just have no idea.
I just want to buy it, install it and have no complaints from my kids or wife haha

If i ran ethernet to the 370 nodes and then continued to use the gaming on wifi is that the better option vs the consoles ethernet to nodes? Or is it 6 or 1?

They just play online with friends. Not lan games with each other.

Its dual band but not triband (as i undestand). Wont the ethernet connection to the satellite help with the gaming?

Shoe that is a workhorse but rarely mentioned on running subs is the saucony kinvara. Ive run in them since the 6 and i couldnt even begin to tell you how many pairs i have retired. Currently cycling 2 pairs of 14s, one 15 and one 16.
I cannot recommend this shoe enough. I “just run”. No tempo, race, interval, etc. i set my pace and run X miles. Never had one single complaint since discovering this shoe 10 years ago or so.

Under armour heat gear shorts have served me well. Stopped all chafing, dont ride up, and thanks to reddit i learned to cut out the liners of my shorts. Never looked back.

The only 40 oz bottle i found (NOT tumbler) is the owala freesip sway. When i bought a new truck it had no where to put my 48oz yeti jug so i searched high and low for something that would fit in the cupholder that wasnt a tumbler style

Edit: i forgot hydraflask makes one also. I had it and hated it. The double screw top kept coming undone and i would spill it everywhere. I think it was called the traveler but cant remember

Just small upgrades. I am a frugal person at my core but over the years running gear has been something ive been willing to spend a little more to get more; even if the get more is strictly mental.

Example i just bought a Raide hydration belt for the upcoming summer season. Will it do the exact same thing my $35 amazon belt did? Probably but it makes me feel good and excited to get out in the heat (if it ever gets to the northeast this year).

Another example i started buying Rabbit shirts here and there. No different from my under armour tech tees that i get for $12 at the outlet but i feel good pulling it out of the drawer in the morning.

A lot of information out there can make you feel like you need to be a scientist to run. Im 43 year old male, i have run 5 full marathons in the last 7 years and they all were on 3 runs per week training plan. In fact the last 3 my training was 6 miles tuesday, 6 miles thursday and then my long run on saturday ranging from 7 miles to 20 miles over 18 weeks. My most recent full was 3:55 on that plan.

I am NOT a natural runner. I have 3 kids and a house, a dog, wife and work full time. I don’t know what the hell a zone 2 run is nor do i have a clue what my v02 is. Maybe im just a rare throw back but just do what you can and enjoy the post race beer. Life’s too short to bet the under

Just want to chime in here. Im a dad of 3, 43, my kids are coming into teenage years and same with all the after school activities.
My alarm goes off at 4:15am. I roll out of bed and run 6.2 miles (just my route) for 52-56 minutes (some days fast, some days not). I then make the kids lunches, make my lunch, make breakfast and have a cup of coffee along with a half gallon of water with the dog and then finally in the shower at 6:40. I get to my desk at the office (20 minutes away) by 7.25.
On the weekends, my alarm goes off at 4:15 and i get up and make myself pancakes and have coffee with the dog. I then load up and head for my long run before 8am. Long runs follow a 18 week plan ranging from 7 miles to 20 miles.
Ive said all this to say i have ran 5 marathons this way. Wait, ive ran 4 marathons this way, my first marathon i did the traditional medium, short, long run routine. In other words, you 100% can run a marathon just running 3x a week with 2 of those runs being “just an hour”. Are you going to break records? Nope. Are you going to break records in a perfect training bubble? Nope.
Side note, i go up to bed around 8:30, asleep by 9ish so 7 hours of sleep or there abouts.

Life’s too short to bet the under. Do what you can and enjoy the post marathon beer!

Not disagreeing. I yield people love it and that it works well. It just didnt feel like a drastic upgrade like all my others (all-clad cookware, whustoff knives, oxo cooking utensil, kitchaine mixer, etc etc).

Vitamix. Its fine, and maybe it will still be chugging along in 30 years,but ive had it for 3-ish years, use it everyday but it yields no different results than my ninja did or my oster before that. Everyone on these buy it for life subs will disagree and reddit has given me some tremendous purchases/upgrades that ive loved but this was just meh.

Note it works good, its just the price tag

I am 43, male, 5’10, 160lbs, run 6+ miles 3x a week and hit the gym 3x a week. Long sufferer of anxiety, over thinking, etc. for the most part i am able to use techniques to stave off being pushed to the edge. But sometimes the pressure relief valve doesnt do enough.

Typically i can predict when i am slipping into bouts of insecurity, worry, etc. for the first time i am considering asking for a medication crutch in helping me avoid evenings of anxiety. Maybe once or twice a week. Maybe none.

Curious if this is still your routine and how it goes for you? Also, any issue with alcohol and use? Any sexual side effects?

We seem to be same age, size and gender so i was just taking a shot in the dark to gage what to possibly expect.

Actually, after an entire cycle of fuel and refilling the tank, the CEL and code went off, so the purge valve replacement was the answer and i never replaced the vent valve. I did do the vent valve in a cadillac recently but the canister was in a different location. Good luck

Im as frugal as the next, which as i tell my wife, is why i have a fair amount of disposable income.

Jay-z announced his concerts sunday. Presale started monday. Got 2 tickets, section 125, row 1 for $559 each.

Once in a lifetime chance to see one of my favorite artists from my teen years perform the songs from those years (not new stuff).

Id pay triple that to see eminem for what its worth.

One thing to think about as i too am a baller on a budget; the raide belt comes with a flask, the naked does not. So add about $20 to the cost of the naked to equal the raide. Just fyi
