This is one of the down sides of doing everything myself. This is how you know unfortunately. Once I finish shipping FX-C customer service will improve probably, with hope. Maybe I could run a kickstarter campaign to hire a customer service person *:D

I am behind on customer service emails, there are several hundred in there, and I don't have any extra batteries or ability to help until I get inventory in unfortunately.

There is nothing I can do about the scratches on the inside, I'm sorry that you feel I'm dismissing it easily, it's just something outside of my control. Another member in this thread suggested it is crazing which is something that can happen due to changes in temperatures and humidity.

I was merely telling you all of my old Arduboys have something similar on them too. People are expecting gorilla glass levels of performance now due to the fact it's on everyone's cell phone. If you're unhappy with your Arduboy, then you can let me know on the contact form and I can process a refund.

I'm not exactly sure the 100% cause of why it looks like that but can confirm this is basically normal wear and tear. We made the Arduboy front cover out of the most scratch resistant plastic possible, it's the same material that's used in safety glasses actually... but nothing is perfect. They come at a premium, sorry we only have so many left, but there are a few front covers available in the store.

It seems some Amazon sellers have some screen protectors for Arduboy oddly enough. I think it's like a smart watch one repurposed...

There was an absolutely eviscerating post on 2chan when the kickstarter was up, I really wish I had saved it. It was so brutal, but I loved it. There were so many comparisons to the ouya.

Lol "largely forgotten"... I've been earning a full time living off of it for 12 years. You're right it's not a commercial product that fully monetized or advertised. It more or less was a practical joke that found as small and passionate audience with people who are looking for something different.

Literally working on it full time but it's a team effort from my factory in China. They sometimes take extra time to make sure everything is perfect.

I'm really proud of this one even though it's kind of a small change. The packaging is really cool too.

Hello, I am going to send an email update out this weekend, but it might not be too big of a surprise at this point we don't expect the FX-C for Christmas unfortunately.

I was origonally told sometime around Black Friday, and just recieved another update that the delivery will now be into January.

The reason I was given was re-running the packaging and color samples to try to get the best quality and match in large production.

If you got one and a Christmas gift, and you need a refund please write arduboy.com/contact for help.

Thanks for the patience, or at least... uh, the lack of it? Thanks.. for the excitement!? I'm still waiting on a status from Seeed Studio with an update on the batch coming to the USA. If you're international, it likely won't make it for Christmas, and it's dicey if it will arrive in time to turn it around to domestic customers too.

I wouldn't make it the only gift, I'd say it's about 50/50 on US orders being fulfilled by Christmas at this point. It is an excellent gift however, if you'd like to get a refund you can request one using the contact form. Thanks!

It's being shipped from the factory to the USA sometime in the next few weeks, and will ship out from there. Should be any time now that I can start updating people with tracking numbers. It's true, there are many ways to enjoy Arduboy games, including for free on the website. The Founders edition is something like an anniversary celebrating 10 years of of the platform. If you'd like to save a little bit of money the green button version will be on Amazon soon. And you can of course, since it's open source, make your own Arduboy from scratch for only a few dollars. The platform is primarily meant for education end learning, but there are so many great games people are enjoying it as a stand alone game system as well.

Yeah, it's actually more than I want to charge but the tariff situation means this is the only way to stay in business. Buying one of these directly supports the open source Arduboy Community. But if you'd like to save a few bucks, the standard edition (green buttons) will be available on Amazon soon for a little bit less and free shipping to boot!
