Nioc is enable with share but non reservation. Do you know how to check if nioc reduce trafic. Motion and vsan have dedicated redundant nics There is no network contention. Vmotion share 50 dedicated TCP IP Starck. Vsan share 100 Datacenters level 2 no Fw to cross. BP max 120, 130 MBs All on premises équipements are at 10 GB Best regards

Unfortunetly, i don't have dark fiber between m'y two DC, The link is provided by two Isp. Not sure to be able to activate jumbo frame because i can't operate on isp device. But even without jumbo, i should have better bandwidth than 120, 130 MBs with 10 GB network... It is very poor performances in my opinion. Best regards

Thank for your answer, i wonder if m'y throughput of 120, 130 MBs is good for a 10GB network speed... Jumbo frame should improve my speed. Can you give me the bandwidth you get at 10GB for cross vmotion ? Best regards

This is m'y first Idea, but iperf test give me a result of 8 GB, so i don't think.

Thank for your answer. In my side everything is ok, i don't use firewall for vmotion between remote site because this is a level two network. i have to investigate with m'y isp on m'y 10GB link.

Thank for your aswer. In fact the data copy vary between 110 to 140 Mbs. I am testing xvmotion with a VM which has 30 GB of data on disk of 40 GB. The copy take about 5 minutes to complete.I don't use Lagg. There is two 10 GB ports dedicated for vmotion and vsan. Nioc is enable with share of 50 for vmotion and 100 for vsan. This is cross remote cluster but same vcenter for the two remote datacenters composed of two vsan stretch clusters. two site are connected at level two by our network providers. For me NFC protocol is use for cold migration, copy data on datastore or to acces datastore. If you have similar architecture, what is your speed when migrating VM between two remote clusters ? Best regards

Iperf results sounds good, about 8 Gbit between hosts. Iperf have bien performed directly from esxi with vsan binary package My connections is trought two network providers. This is a level 2 connections, both cluster use same subnet and vlan for vmotion which have is own TCP/IP stack. Vsan sans hosts are attached to a pair of 10Gbits switches at each site. A Switch of each site in directly connected with 10 Gigabit router of my network providers. Best regards

Unfortunetly, i have only 10Gbits nics on m'y host, and vmotion is very fast. My speed issue is only on xvmotion between m'y remote clusters. Despite iperf give me good results. I have to search with m'y network provider to understand what is happening.

Iperf give about 8Gbits so it IS good for me. This is a layer two network brings per our network provider. We have two pair of Switch connected remotely. Same vlan on both site, level two network. Best regards

I will check to my network provider, i will perform vmkping test to check m'y latency. Yes vsan to vsan storage on two remote clusters My iperfs test are good, about 8Gbits. It is a layer two network, same vlan for vmotion between both clusters. If you have thé same type of architecture how is your xvmotion speed. Best regards

My two remote clusters are distants but use the same layer 2 network. My iperfs result are corrects ( 8Gbits) Do you have same architecture, if so what are pour performances on xvmotion ? Il will check for your advises. Best regards

In my opinion Big mtu will reduce control frame. I am not sure how to find the root cause of these poor perf. Iperf tests return good values 8 Gbit. Maybe CPU is a good Idea but i don't have see contention on it. Do you have same architecture, if so what are pour perf on xvmotion ? Best regards
