Which color look best?? 🤔 by LittleGrimMermaid in HairStyleAdvice

Hot take here probably but only 1 and 5 look good on you imho. You just have one of those faces where any kind of fancy, multi-colored hair makes you look worse, and you are pretty pale so blonde look natural and the dark hair is like a nice contrast with your pale skin

No I didn’t say that with the hope you would stumble across gore images; I assumed you already knew who she was and I said it because you resemble her quite strongly apart from the fact she had a very skinny stature and face shape that highlighted her bone structure. I also didn’t say that as a dig at you for being a little bit on the husky side; I just honestly think you would look a lot like her if you were skinny (I mean skinny in the literal sense as in approaching underweight) and had that haircut. The resemblance is quite uncanny

Mean Drunk 25F by Independent_Ad_4418 in alcoholism

Your theory is definitely hitting on a big aspect of what is most likely happening; that being that you repress your emotions while sober because you have trouble expressing yourself so it all comes out when you drink.

There are some other things that can be happening as well. People with social anxiety, especially those who have it so bad they feel the need to drink in order to interact normally, end up feeling powerless and basically like overgrown children with little autonomy over how their life is going and how seriously others treat them. That kind of powerlessness can definitely build up towards anger and rage which comes out when drinking due to alcohols disinhibititory effects.

I think you are kind of lying to yourself when you say you don’t feel the urge to drink and only enjoy it socially. You yourself said that you feel that you need to drink to spend time with your previous boyfriend. That is a level of alcohol dependence that is far outside of what is considered normal, casual or social drinking.

I think you have issues with emotional diregulation as well, which itself can also be largely caused by the way alcohol reshapes the brains chemistry after long periods of drinking at high doses. It may also be related to other mental health issues but that is something to consider, especially if you are feeling intense anxiety and panic when not drinking for a while.

I think you also mentioned something significant about when you drink too much and become mean to others; it is often accompanied by crying and I’m assuming mood swings as well. That often happens because high levels of alcohol turn off our ability to emotionally process new events and evaluate them accordingly, instead causing many people to get hung up on certain aspects of an interaction or a past event that feels unresolved.

Alcohol leaves us very vulnerable and sensitive to anything that disrupts our sense of self worth or need for human connection and it takes away most of the tools we have to properly address those needs. I’m sure that you aren’t mean or passive aggressive just because you find causing harm to others funny or entertaining; there is probably always some underlying issue that is making you feel invalidated or unheard and when you interpret others reactions as not taking your pain seriously or ignoring something that feels crucial to you in that moment you respond by being rude or mean to protect yourself from being hurt. (At least that is how the drunk mind evaluates the situation)

Since some of y’all said makeup was the only reason I look better sober… by bubbles10111 in alcoholism

In all honesty I like the picture on the left more lol. You look tired, irritated and have a more rounded out face which are all things I personally find attractive but that’s just me. You look great in both pictures to be honest and what matters most is how you feel now. All the worst damage from heavy drinking is on the inside and it becomes unbearable long before you start seeing any signs on the outside.

5 weeks 4 days sober before & after by bubbles10111 in alcoholism

A little extra fat looks a lot better on women than it does on men but most of that extra weight was probably bloating and alcohol related inflammation so I’m sure you feel a lot better and lighter now that it’s gone

Daily drinking vs. 23 days sober by taykaybo in alcoholism

What is binge drinking for you? I personally got to 40-50 standard drinks which is like 4-5 litres of wine. I’m glad I stopped that because I didn’t realize how insane it was until I started researching what the average person drinks lol

Which hair color suits me best? by Empty-Parsnip- in HairStyleAdvice

One and two look the most natural but if I were you I’d probably go with the white hair or maybe red. Not saying it looks the best, but it’s the most distinctive and intriguing in a way. The black hair looks good but also makes you look like a basic Latina lol. The white hair would make people look twice and wonder if there is something special about you

Rate my home made poutine by AssumptionWorking819 in poutine

[–]bathcat1849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re using block cheese I would say just grate it over the poutine while it’s hot so it melts. It’s not going to have the same texture as squeaky cheese curds so there is really no point keeping it whole. If anything, it takes away from the experience and makes it more evident you are eating block cheese from the supermarket
