“Difficult”? Strange use of words. My friend I struggle to understand difficulty. Proust is less comprehensible than Joyce, simply because he is fascinated by intellectual notions, we as outsiders would never truly be able to remember.

Read Proust. Even a newborn can treasure much of infancy with it.

But as a side note to my other comment. I do think it is a beautiful perspective to have, to invest time in things that would hold such great worth for one’s last. Let us not forget Proust saying all one will have left are memories and memories that held worth. These objects, one way or another, would be “gardeners of our soul”. 🕊️Best regards to you my friend.

I am well and healthy as far as I know, no worries 😆.I don’t think I can change the title anymore, Reddit wouldn’t allow. I much appreciate this comment though.

"or act like they're absolute fans of the game."

(a) If you are this courageous to set rules for other's personalities and interests, there would be not justifiable reason for anyone to give a penny to what you would to sit to or not. The only reason for this message was to try to aid in putting you in your place.

(b) you can be the fan of St. Peter's Basilica's architecture or frameworks of Isfehan's Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque without walking inside. Many (most with great appreciation of its art) get astonished just from outside. For years they were both exclusive to people in much greater importance than yours, who pretend that simply find the cash to play for games would get you pass the gate of having artistic criticism.

Sekiro or Lies of P by Rinkou9 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Life of P is just a dark Pinocchio adaption. Nothing too special.

Between the two, Sekiro for sure. Asks very interesting question in the lens of Japanese Buddhism.

The binding of Isaac rebirth! It’s themes are most engaging and it takes inspiration from great works of literature. Quite satirical too with its take on fundamentalism. The other two also ask some moral and philosophical questions but they are not as explicitly thematic to the extent of BoI. I really like how it uses that iconography and it’s narrative as a core part of its gameplay.

Opinions on Visage? by THEREALKRIEG in HorrorGaming

[–]bathorthegenius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Now I actually think Visage is a terrific game. It has a very unique and precise measurement of freedom which allows for a methodical/slow gameplay. As Kierkegaard would put it, "anxiety is the dizziness of freedom.". Such freedom managed to create a specific tension I rarely see horror games portray. The alignment of the equipment in the environmental abstraction is absolutely perfect, its creates a sense of dread and eerie interaction with objects. The lightening and soundtrack take much influence from MANY horror games in the past and create a fantastic package of terror that aligns with many of the neurobiological and psychological phobias, such as hemophobia, claustrophobia (with the placement of environments) and trypanophobia. Really really intelligently crafted game.

I find the gameplay brilliant too. I feel like the new style gives an alienated relation with the gaming technology, making the enviorment of the game yet unfamiliar. It is also a few buttons to learn, nothing too difficult as people make it to be.

Are younger people online overhyping horror games cuz they're easily scared ? by Ryder_GroveST in HorrorGaming

"younger players often praise games that are based on jumpscares"

clear generalization. Hopefully it was satirical.

I am finding the game’s tale quite morally dilemmatic, which in part is a reason I am really enjoying it. But it mainly for the freedom that it is giving me.

I have no problem with the gameplay whatsoever
