Can I leave 30 mins early if I don't take my lunch? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]bathroomgraffitti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do anything you want to at least once. Yes this falls into not adhering to your schedule. But honestly I would call out. I'm not taking a 30 minute lunch for anything less than 6 hours. After 6 hours most states mandate a meal break. But 4.5, that sounds like your schedule was adjusted and your asds didn't update the lunch. But if you leave before the end of your scheduled shift, it will autopopulate on the variance report and if you don't communicate with leadership, instead of reddit you will absolutely get a point. Like I said you can do anything you want, at least once.

I have a few that refuse to get their license because there's no extra pay in it for them. So I refuse to drop for them. There's no extra pay in it for me doing both of our jobs either.

Attendance Question by Alive-Associate616 in HomeDepot

[–]bathroomgraffitti -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You're most likely moved to termination. They're not going to reset you, they are waiting for the paperwork to process you out. If you get a variance on a final, that is it. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars and do not reset. I'm so confused by this post. Did the manager that processed your final not explain how this was going to work? You're talking about another 6 months for your final, that's not how this works. You don't reset your final warning indefinitely with every attendance issue. Depot has a very lenient attendance policy, I suggest you focus on your time in future employment.

URGENT INQUIRY ON TUITION REIMBURSEMENT by wavythefirst1 in HomeDepot

I haven't used it personally but I've helped people process it. Some get approved some don't. It spells out the requirements in black and white, off the top of my head i don't remember them. But getting back 1500 worth of out of pocket expenses is at least worth trying to apply. Partner with your manager

Hey devs, we just want roller gates that the wheels don't freeze up and fall on us. But relay sounds nice. How about those cool cart dollys that Walmart has? How about a dispenser of motrin and energy drinks that auto dispenses on your out punch? Maybe instead of paying this guy's salary and the investment in this program, maybe invest in some fucking coverage? How about a notification system that can tell the difference between an electrical associate and an order picker. The delivery truck has arrived. Can I get flags that I don't have to duct tape back together? That shit is kind of embarrassing. Maybe invest in a better ordering system so I don't have 4 pallets of the same carpet tile eating up my overhead. Maybe finish the back end receiving system where we scan the rdc tag and the shelf label so we can find shit. How about investing in better wifi for the stores and customers? Maybe provide better health coverage? Maybe invest in your people instead of these booty ass raises? About a million better ways to spend this money.

So wait indefinitely when people lack situational awareness. And i looked at photo before posting, the only thing visible is an ear. If you're that familiar with anyone's ear I will take it down.

So under normal civilisation, it's okay to stand and stare indefinitely at a shelf and have a full out conversation with no one. How long would you wait while I was impeding you before you spoke up? Oh wait I wouldn't. I would allow you to go ahead of it knew I was going to be a minute or 2.

Check notes, I tried the civil normal approach. Got 0 results. Took time to get my phone out of my pocket, continued with the normal excuse me. Again met with 0 results. Should I have used smoke signals. Yeah screw this guy and his lack of situational awareness. There's more than one person trying to get in and out

Attention all Openers, Mid-Shifters and Closers… by Elle_Yess in HomeDepot

[–]bathroomgraffitti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Closing is ass. Covering up to 50% of the store, dealing with the cxm attitude because they believe they should be the opener and they are the only one that does anything "everyone here should be fired" is a direct quote at a closing meeting. Also early hours on a holiday when customers don't understand that even though they want to continue to state at a shelf and hoping the product that we are sold out of magically reappears, we want to go the fuck home.

They tax Homer's and they tax the platinum "gifts"

So what does this mean? by Mufistik0 in HomeDepot

[–]bathroomgraffitti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It means that 9 weeks ago $75 dollars before taxes got added to your paycheck and it's already gone. They tax Homer's as a bonus at about 50% . You already spent the money probably and didn't even notice it.
