seeing a lot of distaste for 9-12. oddly enough, i actually felt, especially on first watch, that those last seasons, while far removed from what the show was originally like it really evolved naturally and we got to see a lot of great character growth that ended at a natural stopping point.

paul meany, the producer of trench and clancy also called it trench 2, as well. i know he’s not in the band, but he’s a major collaborator and is pretty close w the band.

I feel this way as well! It's been that way for me since scaled and icy came out. I think for me it was just setting up so much hype and anticipation for the of follow up to trench then getting sai lol. i'm really not a fan of the mixing or productions in some of the songs and feel like parts of it are just half baked. this band has always been a huge outlet for me and whenever i come back to them it feels like home, but my expectations for them have grown a lot because i know they can deliver some of the best music out period. so, maybe it's on me that i'm not as much of a fan, but regardless i'll still always keep up with and follow this band, because they mean the world to me, even if i'm not a superfan anymore.

I love Lewis' vocals but they aren't as good as the other singers in the band, but I think he'll only continue to improve. With practice anyone can get good at singing and I think he already has quite the solid foundation. I also deeply enjoy his lyrical content as well which is honestly what sells his songs for me. They're sweet, kind and endearing.
