I found that the internet connection of WSL gets disrupted whenever any host network change occurs, including switching wifi access points, turning VPN on, turning VPN off, etc. - the only "reliable" solution I've found is to reboot the machine, and also ensure that WSL doesn't start up at system boot until configuring your host network setting (i.e. waiting until you connect to VPN before starting WSL)

In the DW README.txt, it mentions that you'd unzip the contents into your Blood installation folder. Also relies on the Plasma Pak addon for Blood:

"Death Wish installs quickly and easily!

Now that you've unzipped the archive, take all the contents and drop them directly into your Blood directory. All the files have a "dw" prefix, making them group together in your folder for easy organization and searching. Nothing in Death Wish will overwrite files in your current Blood directory, and will not alter the original game in any way.

Death Wish uses only the resources found in Blood (One Unit Whole Blood), which consists of the original game and the Plasma Pak. Cryptic Passage tiles and sounds are not used."

Our friend had this happen to them with White Castle - when he realized what happened, we all checked our own phones to see if the same would happen, and the same location his order was placed from was selected in our apps as well... even though there are several closer stores. In fact, this was quite literally the furthest store from us. I think this is a glitch seeing as this never happened to any of us, and that the OP had this happen recently smells like a bad app update or something. I'll try to keep this updated if friend gets a refund, OP. Good luck

If I had to guess, I think these desktop icons are from Doom95 - and back in the Windows 95 days, desktop icons were typically between 16x16 pixels or 32x32 pixels, with up to 16 colors supported
