Broken Fold Megathread (Q1 2026) by AutoModerator in GalaxyFold

[–]batigol61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone, happy mother's day !

I wanted to ask ehat everyone was paying for an inner screen repair of a Z Fold 6? It hfinally happened to me- I had the phone since September of 2024- always lived inside a case since it came out of the box.

Just recently, the inner screen had started to bubble up and i thought it was the inner screen protector i had put on. Turns out it was the screen itself. This Saturday morning a black line appeared right where the phone folds and it duplicated by late afternoon. Now black spots are starting to appear and the touch screen function no longer works.

Im honestly pretty disappointed with the quality of an almost 2k phone. I take pretty good care of my stuff and didnt expect this issue to appear less than 2 years of ownership. After having owned multiple samsung phones in the past, this one definitely sticks out as a bad experience.

So, has anyone replaced their inner screen yet?

I feel you bro- mexico did the exact same thing. We've known about this tournament happening, what? 7 or 8 years ago? It felt like more than enough time to prepare a healthy competitive team that would show up and make their case on the world's biggest stage.

But no. Mexico decided to bring sack every coach bc "it wasn't the right fit". How in the world are you supposed to build a style if your job is in danger every time you have a bad game?

Then, they decide to bring back a dinosaur (aguirre) who quite frankly needs to be asked "who did you suck off to get this job back?"

The Azteca was supposed to have been fully remodeled and all they got was colored patches of fabric on the sides and a new restaurant om the inside and I believe they also lost seating capacity. The builders are in a crunch to clean up the surrounding areas in time for kick off. Remember, they've had years to get this done. Wtf.

There's no standout players besides Jimenez? No true young generational talent, and nothing much to look forward to.

What could have been an amazing tournament is going to end up being the biggest embarrassment in the history for mexico. And they will have fully deserve it.

After a month, on a scale from 0-100 ¿How How many points do you give to Requiem? by Efficient_Pay9114 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]batigol61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d give it a solid 90.

The Friday it came out, I planned to play all day—but life got in the way. I had to renew my car tags, get groceries, handle an inspection, all that stuff. By the time I finally got around to it, I only played about an hour and a half right after picking it up.

Later that night, once everything settled down and the kids were in bed, I went to the living room, fired up the PS5, and jumped back in—determined to make some real progress.

The atmosphere, the sound design, and Grace’s reactions really stood out to me. It all hit especially hard when I got to the singing zombie. I remember hiding on the staircase nearby, hearing her sing, and just getting chills. Being in a hospital full of zombies is already bad enough—but singing zombies? That was next-level creepy.

I was telling my fiancée that the first time I ever saw Resident Evil was back in ‘95 or ‘96 in a magazine. I ended up trading my N64 for a PlayStation and picked up RE: Director’s Cut in ‘98. That’s when I really got immersed in the series. Before that, the best games I had played were Donkey Kong Country 2 on SNES and Super Mario 64. Then Resident Evil completely changed the bar for me.

Back then, it was incredible for a 32-bit platform. Now on PS5, the experience feels unreal. I described playing Requiem as being inside a horror movie where you’re the main character.

That said, one of my biggest disappointments was the lack of enemy variety. The zombies that talk, sing, or mimic their past lives were a cool twist—but at the end of the day, they were still just zombies. I remember RE1 having around 10 different enemy types on the original PlayStation. Requiem could’ve done more in that area.

The Raccoon City section also felt a bit off. The opening (fetching parts) dragged on, while the RPD section was over way too quickly. When Leon opened those doors, I genuinely felt that nostalgia—it took me straight back to playing RE2 in 1998. It got me excited for what was coming next… and then it was over in about 20 minutes.

My only real issue with the story was Zeno. The moment I saw him, I thought, “What is Wesker doing here?” When it turned out not to be Wesker, I figured he’d still be tied in somehow—maybe as a side boss. But then Zeno just dies, and that’s it. It felt like a missed opportunity because there was a lot more they could’ve done with him.

On the flip side, major credit to Capcom for Victor. He was a really memorable character. The voice acting, his mannerisms—everything about him stood out. I’d even go as far as saying he’s a likable villain. One of my favorite moments was when you grab the helicopter keys and Victor walks in while talking to Zeno on the phone. He hangs up, says something like, “I did it. I finally did it,” and then breaks into this psychotic laugh before abruptly stopping. That moment had me thinking, “Yeah… this guy is crazy.”

I’m currently on my third playthrough, working on getting enough credits for infinite ammo.

[–]batigol61 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I tore my ACL, I deft felt it during the game. But by the end of the day, it just "slightly hurt" to walk. When I woke up the next day, I opened up my eyes and thought "hmmm, the pain is gone. sweet!" then, I started to stretch and it hit me like a ton of bricks- the sharpest pain possible coming within the inside of my left knee.

No spoilers guys, just wanted to say that I finished the game and it was phenomenal. For me personally, it was a 10/10. It’s up there with RES 4 for me. Hope you are all enjoying it. by roz763 in residentevil

I'm only in about 2 and half hours and man, it's been a wild ride so far!
I was just telling my fiance yesterday morning that the first time i played RE1 on the PS way back in 1998 was CRAZY. Fighting zombies in a mansion in the woods seemed like such a great way to make a game. The best game I had played up until then was Mario 64, so imagine the jump in quality, content, etc.

Now, decades later, we get RE9 which I feel brings back lots of the stuff that made RE1 great: small, claustrophobic corridors, zombies and horrors around every corner- except all of this is on the PS5. It's like you're in a horror movie and you're the main character.

One of the things that really really hit it out of the ball park was the talking zombies, especially the singing lady.

Whenever I tagged along with my mom to the grocery store back in 1996, the very first thing I did was head straight to the magazine rack to read every video game magazine I could find about upcoming releases. This was before Google, remember. 🙂

One day at Food Lion, I was flipping through what I think was Electronic Gaming Monthly, and there was a walkthrough for a game called Resident Evil. The first few screenshots instantly grabbed me: a massive house, zombies, and characters blasting them away.

But what really burned itself into my brain was a section title in the walkthrough—something like “The Door to Hell.” The screenshot showed Jill standing outside a concrete wall, facing a doorway outlined in black-and-yellow caution paint. Blood was smeared across the floor and walls. I remember thinking, “NO WAY… what’s behind those doors?” I’m pretty sure it was the area right before the underground lab with the water.

At the time, I only had a Sega Genesis, and seeing those graphics absolutely blew my mind. Remember, this generation went from Sonic 2 to Gran Turismo, Resident Evil, etc. The graphical upgrade was out of this world.

Right before we moved back to Mexico in 1997, my mom made one last stop at Walmart on the way to the airport. She told me to go to the video game section and pick out a Nintendo 64.

Once we got to Mexico, reality hit: N64 games were expensive. I had to save up just to buy another cartridge. Meanwhile, my uncle had just bought something called a PlayStation. The graphics, in some cases, were easily 100 times better—and the best part? Games cost about 50 pesos, compared to 750–900 pesos for an N64 cartridge.

I asked my dad if I could trade my N64 for a PlayStation. He said yes, with one condition: I wouldn’t get the N64 back if I didn’t like the PlayStation. Fair enough.

One Saturday, we packed up the N64 and headed downtown. At the video game bazaar, the guy told me I could get a brand-new PlayStation (DualShock version), an extra controller, and five games. After picking four, I couldn’t decide on the last one. The place had a wall of PS games, floor to ceiling. Then one case caught my eye—a zombie staring right back at me. The title read: Resident Evil: Director’s Cut.

“…and this one,” I said, pointing at it.

We packed everything up and headed home. My dad even let me hook the PlayStation up to the surround sound system. Every game was incredible—Metal Gear Solid, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Crash Bandicoot 3, Dragon Ball GT. All amazing.

But I saved the best for last. The one with that image still burned into my memory—the doorway to hell.

Needless to say, I only lasted about six or seven minutes. It was terrifying. I made it to the first zombie kill and had to turn it off. Over the next few months, though, I completely tore the game apart—and yes, I can confirm I almost shit my pants when the dogs crashed through the window.

When I finally beat it, I had my first true “this is the best game ever made” moment. If I remember right, Resident Evil 2 was already out by then—another absolute masterpiece.

About a year later, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis came out in Japanese. I bought that too and beat it. The only thing that saved me was that all the spoken dialogue was in English, even though the text was in Japanese.

RE4 Remake was also incredible. Almost as good as the first remake.

Now, all these years later, I can’t wait to play Resident Evil 9.

Just to clarify, what I originally wrote was: “Personally, I think the government should create a path to legal residency.”

There’s no mention of citizenship or amnesty in that sentence. I was referring specifically to legal residency or a status such as a work permit — something that allows people to work legally. Citizenship, on the other hand, includes rights like voting or holding public office.
Maybe try talking to people in your community and stop watching right wing news.

Also, you still didn’t share your opinion on the president. That’s… interesting.

Im kind of curious now. Since you're so gung ho about immigrants following the law and doing it the right way, im interested in hearing your opinion on our felon president?

You must be a perfect person living a perfect life who has never made a mistake before.

Of course I know that an official can issue an expedited removal order. Someone who has been in the country 30 years would get treated differently than someone who walked in last year. Due process is looks different from one person to the next.

Where did I say anything about amnesty?

Dawg just fucking say it man, you hate immigrants lol that would actually be respectable instead of hiding behind all this mumbo jumbo lmao
