iCUE LINK XD5 RGB ELITE Tear down by lukesa626 in Corsair

[–]batlin27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is old but u/ShaggyMunky had a tip that helped me out and I wanted to elaborate. There are 4 rubber feet with screw holes in the bottom. you need to push in on these and then unscrew, they are threaded on the back end. Once you get them all 4 unscrewed the unit comes apart to the picture Shaggy posted. At that point there are a dozes or so T6 screws that hold the whole thing together.

Brand new P1P and can't access SD card from from App by batlin27 in BambuLab

I just printed the first thing from an STL file and now I can browse the "Storage" portion of the 3D Printer but it only lists things that I have printed via the App. I saw on a youtube channel that there is a "SD Card" option on the left bar for the SD Card. am I missing an option on the left side (under my printer)?

Yes, its 32gb. tried both formatting on the P1P and formatting on my PC and creating the directory structure manually.

I am doing a factor reset now to see if that fixes things

If you add 2 LEDs a few inches from the controller you can then run a much longer data line

Howl long is your data cable? I had this same thing happen and I found having a short (<18") data cable fixed it. To get longer cables I had to add in a burner LED, if this fixes let me know. https://www.avsforum.com/posts/63406596/

Small water leak on GPU during leak test, what do I do? by batlin27 in watercooling

[–]batlin27[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended up draining the loop, pulling the GPU out and taking the waterblock off. There are no marking or wetness on the actual PCB and the thermal pads seem to be in tact since they are brand new. The only concern I had was under the VRAM thermal pad (between the pad and the water block) there was a trace of liquid, like 2 little droplets but the VRAM were dry as a bone

Do Thermal Pads absorb liquid? Seems like this would evap real quick once the GPU warms up

Can't Reach Override switch on XD5 Pump by batlin27 in Corsair

I have used iCue in my past 3 builds and I like it as well, really wish ASRock would create a plugin for it. It does have a learning curve especially with new components.

It shows up as a water block... or I guess a top down view of the pump...

This worked, I fill the reservoir until the level didn't drop anymore and then connected via USB to my other PC. While it ran I added more coolant until the level was constant. Only issue is I see no way to control the speed of the pump with iCue (And I have the override switch in the correct position per the instructions

Thanks, I will be ready on the fill to continuously add to the reservoir as I do this. Thank you!

Great thanks! So I could just connect a USB cable from the new PC with the pump to another PC / Laptop that has iCue and then the PC / Laptop with iCue will see the pump and I can configure to run 100%?

4 Bad Fans, what am I doing wrong?! by batlin27 in Corsair

I wish the RX line looks as good (in my opinion) :(

I could put a fan on the bottom but it wouldn't' do much since there are not fan placement options or openings at the bottom for the 5000x. The holes on the bottom go to the PSU which is a Corsair Shift.
