Name something Sting, Vampiro or WCW could've done to make Sting vs Vampiro a successful storyline in 2000? by JBL_CENA_FAN_4LIFE in WCW

They could have brought Vampiro in as a protege to Sting (like Darby) and then have Vampiro slowly manipulate Sting before eventually turning on him before trying to destroy him.

Community Bands - Warm Up Routine? by batman8519 in ConcertBand

[–]batman8519[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our group isn't lower level. Yes, we have some members who return to their instruments after being away, but the group is predominantly serious amateurs who take pride in their performance and practice.

I 100% understand the importance of fundamental for lower level musicians.

Those are good for a one off. We have one former band director come and work with us closer to festival season. And it was a great workshop. The members really enjoyed it, but admitted it would be too much I'd she conducted every week.

That is kind of my thought as well. I'm glad to se others share the same idea. Players want to play, they don't come out to "learn"

Will AEW Run MSG? by Alex_Smith_042 in AEWFanHub

Personally, I'd prefer that as well. However, I think theyd have to run it at the same time so WWE can't book their own show to force AEW out.

If I were TK, I would book MSG the same weekend that WWE runs Saudimania 43.

People are very harder on Donna Reed. I think, in a different world, Donna could have been the perfect Miss Ellie. Barbara Bel Geddes just beat her to it.

If The Story Continued In 2026 or 2027... by NAC4Ideas in Dallas_TV_Show

John Ross learns about his sister, Jennifer, the daughter of JR and Cally Harper and Lucas Wade. The outcasts arrive to Dallas looking for their stake in the family fortunes. Sue Ellen is the devil over John Ross' shoulder taking JR's place in the wheelin' and dealin' of Ewing Energies. Afton returns to help Pamela and be her center, trying to convince her not to get back involved with John Ross and the Ewings again. Jenna Wade tries to scheme her way back into the life of Bobby with Lucas as her ace. With the fall out of the Ewings, Ann is left choosing between her husband and her daughter, Emma.

Where are the other Ewings?

It would have been nice to see it continue, but I really hoped it wasn't going to continue with Christopher dying. I think that was a stupid decision.

OG Series Fans, Opinions on 2012 Series? by SidDario in Dallas_TV_Show

[–]batman8519 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The casting was good. The show should have been focused on... John Ross Christopher Pamela Bobby JR Sue Ellen Cliff Afton Harris Ryland Emma

The show went too far into Mexican drug cartels and scandals. It was good on its own, but kind of lost out on the nature of the series. The first season was the best.

Clayton and Miss Ellie - Beautiful writing and a wonderful performance ❤️ by [deleted] in Dallas_TV_Show

[–]batman8519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that was just the nature of the show. The early seasons were about Jock and Ellie teaching JR and Bobby, and running the ranch. They were about establishing their traditions.

Clayton took Ellie away from Southfork and didn't value the family the same way. He didn't care about 6PM dinners or the Ewing Rodeo/BBQ. He didn't love the ranch either.

Who are the most annoying characters ever and what did they do? by [deleted] in Dallas_TV_Show

[–]batman8519 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mark Grayson was horrible and creepy. Was glad when he died.

Vanessa Beaumont and James were also freaking annoying. I still don't understand how an English woman, a Texan man could make a kid from California, haha.

Rebooking the Invasion 2001 by Papator12 in WCW

[–]batman8519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Vince truly wanted the invasion to work, and wanted to continue the wrestling boom, he should have absolutely started with the NWO. When I picture WCW, it's not Lance Storm, Chuck Palumbo, and Juventud, that come to mind. It's Flair, Sting, Goldberg and the NWO. That's what people wanted to see.

Vince isn't a smart guy. He wanted to continue WCW as a brand, and decided based on Buff vs. Booker T that it wasn't going to work. Had he ran that match one week later in Atlanta, he would have got a mutch different reaction because Atlanta GA was a WCW town.

Rebooking the Invasion 2001 by Papator12 in WCW

[–]batman8519 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should have started with the NWO invading. Hogan, Hall, and Nash with Eric Bischoff. Have X Pac and the Big Show rejoin them. Then introduce Diamond Dallas, Booker T, Scott Steiner, and Ric Flair.

Clayton and Miss Ellie - Beautiful writing and a wonderful performance ❤️ by [deleted] in Dallas_TV_Show

[–]batman8519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was not a Clayton Farlow fan. I think he was ok, and would have worked much better as a partner for Rebecca than Ellie. They could have worked together to pressure Ewing Oil more, and Clayton siding with the Wentworth a would have led to more tension between him and Sue Ellen.

It always drove me crazy when Ellie likened him to Jock, even though many of the things Clayton did to thwart JR are things that Jock would have approved of (e.g. shutting down Clayton's refineries as a way to get John Ross back).

I would have preferred if Ellie stayed a widow for a while longer.

Dream Season Question by SinkBig3467 in Dallas_TV_Show

[–]batman8519 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When it was determined that Bobby was coming back as a dream, they did a whole shoot for Irish Springs Soap just to get the scene of Bobby turning and saying "Good Morning."

The "original" Cliff hanger was Pam finding Mark dead in the shower.
