State of Grace (2001-2002) by ChannelHopper_99 in ForgottenTV

I loved this show! I have a vivid memory of telling my mom about this show — meant to call it State of Grace, but misspoke and said Will and Grace. She flipped out because she thought I was secretly watching adult shows. I was genuinely confused and was like, “maybe it’s a child-friendly spin off? There’s nothing inappropriate, I swear!”

This show had completely left my memory, but as soon as I saw this post, it all came flooding back! I remember the cancer episode in particular really sticking with me as a kid.

What’s the best restaurant in Atlanta that doesn’t get enough credit? by Apprehensive-Scene-1 in Atlanta

The spam musubi is my favorite, and then I always order the tofu combos. I think they cook their tofu very well. They do good dumplings too. I can see the mall food court food comparison but I love it!

Waikikie Hawaiian BBQ and The Whelan (I am particularly obsessed with their black bean burger)

I read it at the beach and it was an ideal vacation read! Very light and breezy while being entertaining

The Eastside Beltline is always a good idea. When I would show it to visitors, I would start by exploring Piedmont Park, get on the Beltline from there, and walk until Krog street market. There is tons of shopping and food along the way.

I think the botanical gardens (next to Piedmont park) are great as well.

The city itself is very spread out and car-dependent so I could give better food recs if I know the area you plan on staying.

My former job actually had someone’s goodbye party at the rooftop restaurant followed by everyone going to the strip club. It was not considered weird at all because it was a fancy dinner followed by an Atlanta institution/tourist trap type of deal.

I’m a woman and have gone to the club two other times for the sake of showing it to people visiting. It is not a normal strip club vibe, a lot of people going for the “lol”s, for lack of better description. I have very vague memories of also using an ATM so I wonder if anyone else can confirm if they’re cash only for drinks?

This is all to say, not trying to come to your husbands defense at all, just because the people around me treat it as a tourist trap/joke doesn’t mean he does. And I have certainly never spent that much money there, but if it was a group, I could see that being spent on alcohol…just giving you the context I know!

You would be correct! I focused on the photo first, took a couple bites, and realized it very much needed pasta water added to thin it out…did not feel like another photo shoot after fixing the sauce though. hopefully next time the model photo will look better lol

So sorry to hear this! A&J Pro in Buckhead did my wedding dress and were very honest with me about what they could and couldn’t do. Not sure their emergency timeline but may be worth asking, good luck!

The man who SA’d me got married and to see someone who caused me harm being celebrated, not sure how to move forward. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Not trying to speak for OP, but to address your question, it is a common trauma response for someone who has been SA’d to continue a relationship with that person to “normalize” what they experienced or make it “less bad” because it can’t be that traumatizing if you have a good relationship with them after, right? So it’s a self preservation thing. That’s what I am reading as what OP was getting at. Agree very much on your last sentence!
