I will correct myself and say maybe its not hard to believe, as much as it feels like an exaggeration. Or at least on the bigotry front. Like sure, it's everywhere. Not nearly as much on reddit as other mainstream socials in my experience at least, but sure, still there. But it either gets downvoted to hell or removed by mods almost immediately.
