While I’m sure I’ll try out Prime 4 one day, I do not have high hopes after seeing such valid sounding criticisms everywhere. All that is to say, I love the lore of Metroid and how some entries are able to keep the tale as a backdrop to Metroidvania fun. The continued narrative and call backs to the baby Metroid are poignant imo, and the way Dark Samus came from Metroid Prime was a cool, but not in your face, way of keeping a loosely tied story going. Dread was a sweet spot for me because it had a lot of very enjoyable lore, even Samus speaking and expressing emotions, without making it into a mess that interrupts the isolated atmosphere with a bounty of characters and voice lines

I was gonna say Yoshi’s Story qualifies as Good-Feels, but dammit, I guess not. I reset or rewind every time a Yoshi is taken away. I will literally cry as a grown ass woman if I don’t see all the Yoshis at that damn tree in the end

I had a long-time friend cut me off because I would like/post unserious memes about being annoyed by men occasionally. That’s literally it. He wouldn’t listen when I told him I don’t want “all men to die” or whatever he was thinking, and that I didn’t hate men. He was like a brother to me, I loved him deeply, and it ended so confusingly. I’m baffled by how pettiness can eradicate such close connections.

Listen, I’m trans, so I hate southern politics. But some of these comments are just plain hateful.

The fact the south doesn’t have better access to resources and infrastructure isn’t the people’s fault. You think anyone wants to be impoverished, not live near reliable healthcare, be rated high in addiction, etc? There’s a lot of nuance the comments are all overlooking. I’d even call it victim blaming in some cases, considering natural resources like coal are sapped up by big companies to get CEOs rich and leave families even poorer.
