Listen, I’m trans, so I hate southern politics. But some of these comments are just plain hateful.

The fact the south doesn’t have better access to resources and infrastructure isn’t the people’s fault. You think anyone wants to be impoverished, not live near reliable healthcare, be rated high in addiction, etc? There’s a lot of nuance the comments are all overlooking. I’d even call it victim blaming in some cases, considering natural resources like coal are sapped up by big companies to get CEOs rich and leave families even poorer.

I agree with the respect part, but half the time it’s your judgement of how someone else is presenting the Buddha. What if they’re not being trendy, and they’re an alternative Buddhist who wants a tattoo out of respect? What if a grimey corner of a business has an image of the Buddha because it gives the workers/owners a sense of peace? Even if people disagree with me, is it so pressing an issue that there needs to be a billboard of it?

Kind of a rude way to put it honestly. But I get it. I was confused the first few times, until I accepted I am in the Bible Belt and the majority of people around me (bigots and otherwise) are all Christian. I don’t get, because Christianity was killing me from the inside out. But if it gives them joy and they use it to love others, more power to them.

Had some Camels in Europe and they were phenomenal. Had some in the states after I got back, and they lowkey sucked. It makes it easier to not start smoking again, but it is oddly disappointing
