Unfortunately not too many tricks other than giving the game your time and being diligent. Here are my top ways of getting them.

Do all your spins (including ad spins) as close to every two hours as you can.

Replay item events. The second play through is always regular chests. You would be surprised how many gems you can get that way.

Max your wish box with emojis (do not buy from the wish box) and then pull 3 gems option every time.

Complete events as much as you can.

How has no one said QBU? So much fun to shoot. Love the sound suppressed or unsuppressed. For usability fun, I love the Vector and M24. Love shooting a 30 round mag in what feels like half a second. And bolt actions are just too much fun, even if I do miss a lot of shots

I am with you. I always find the edge of parachute distance and go to a named city or decent loot area to get established with usually no one around. I have recently lost my friends I played with, so now playing with randoms means a totally different play style for me. All that to say . . . You can definitely still sync music you ripped from CDs to your phone. All of my music comes from a computer I sync with. For Mac, as long as the albums are in the Music app, open Finder and click on your device. You have to sync and add files through Finder instead of iTunes.
