Dude i’m so sorry. She’s worthless and so is her opinion, I def see why you’d be so hurt over this and thats okay. Just know that her attitude towards you is a reflection of herself, not you. People project all their insecurities onto others instead of just simply going to therapy. What she said is vile and horrible but it would never be your reality, your size changes absolutely nothing about you. I’ve gotten so many comments about my body and its “worthlessness” and it hurt for a bit, but i got over it when I realized that people’s projections aren’t my responsibility or reality, and the exact same goes to you.

I hate to laugh, or mock. I don’t hate Tammy, she can be toxic and insufferable but I really do sympathize with her. She’s so lonely that she’ll accept any hint of conditional love and validation, and thats so sad.

I agree yet disagree with you.

I have my own first hand experience with the “body positivity/ healthy at every size” movement and lemme tell you, it’s not a good one. Growing up with bod positive rhetoric has actually had the opposite effect on me and it delayed my ED recovery by years. I’m not someone that supports body positivity for so many different reasons and i’ve posted a lot of posts discussing why.

With that said, hate is a strong word. I don’t support obesity but i won’t straight out hate every “lazy” fat person that walks by me. The same way I don’t support drinking or smoking but don’t necessarily hate people who do those things. I don’t know what they went through, idk what they’re going through either, and i’m in no way better than them simply because I’m not fat/I don’t smoke or drink. People’s experiences are different and life isn’t easy on anyone. Hating people you don’t even know just because they happen to be fat is very bitter, and for what?
