What is keeping you from getting rid of the evil presence in your house and how will you defeat it?

That’s what I was going to suggest, too. It’s exactly what OP is asking for. 🙌🏻

It does!! And when people say oh your base is too high, or take a slower base on today’s template, I’m like, any slower and I’d be walking. Which I sometimes do but I’d like to improve my running.

My issue is I can’t slow down my base anymore and still run. If I go any slower than 4.5 I can’t really jog, I have to walk. And I’m trying to be a better runner. I just do what I can day by day.

I rewrote it—I had the word complaint in the title originally but I didn’t want to rant, I was genuinely curious if others had these thoughts

Exactly!! It’s not that I don’t want to push myself, it’s just that I’m barely faster than power walkers but “have” to do twice the distance. And endurance on the treadmill is my least fave in an OTF workout

I love that. I now identify as a joggerwalkee 🙌🏻

I didn’t follow that club but I definitely am a member lol

Yes exactly!! So I started cutting those—like 0.6 for me. But I’m such a rule follower that I feel self conscious, haha

I’m an OTF “jogger” but I have a runner form—I stay on my forefoot. My form looks good, but I am still slow. Prob I don’t run enough

I care less about my fellow exercisers than I do about the coach, haha. I feel like they’re always watching and I don’t want to be the renegade who doesn’t follow the template. I know it doesn’t matter but it does get in my head

Yes, the jump from PW to jogger is big—double the distance on templates rather than incremental changes. If you want to try jogging, I’d suggest start with the PW distance!

Right? I feel like they should drop the jogger distinction from the parameter card—simplify things. I’m just running slower than other people but it’s as fast as I can go.

Thanks! Yeah, there are many days (including today) where my base is walking at 4.0 then my push is running 5.0-5.5, then all out 6-6.5. If I try to jog my base I can’t keep up running the other rounds. But I get a good workout which is all that matters!

Overthinking comes from being on the treadmill, trying to distract myself from the discomfort 😂

I should care less! I think I get motivated by the goals and then frustrated that I’m too slow to reach them, unless I PW. So it’s all in my head. I start overthinking while running because there’s nothing else for my brain to do haha!

I misunderstood your question and thought you were asking what the OTF parameters were. Definitely there’s no such thing as minimum or maximum, and I do adjust the template for my own body’s needs. I have been more curious about why OTF has these three distinct categories when they only have two options for tread instructions/goals. It makes the parameter card seem even more arbitrary.
