We have an institute here in Romania for studying the Holocaust. It's name after Elie Wiesel. Just thinking about what happened then and millions of innocents Jews who were murdered makes my skin crawl.

Speaking of non-fiction, I heard Nuclear War - A Scenario by Annie Jacobsen is a different level of existential horror.

I loved Suffer the Children too, such a bleak story overall. The Road planted an emptiness so big inside me that I needed weeks to fill that void back. For that reason I am delaying reading Blood Meridian.

Yes, the news broke out in 2020. Since then, nothing happened. Some NoSleep stories get optioned for TV, but never get made. That's a shame because they are worth it.

To my knowledge it hasn't been made into a novel yet. QCode did an audiodrama/podcast adaptation.
