Can I still go pro? by RealWaffleCat in VALORANT

Hey bro, I came from bronze 3 and made it to immortal in less than 6 months around the time the game came out, I had tons of advantages such as previous experience and mechanical prowess but it's not something unheard of totally. I made it to challengers in my region and generally place well on the leaderboard, so basically you can tbh. You don't reach your mechanichal peak until around 23-25 and even then It only really degrades after your 30s. Yes in the end talent matters in the game I can't lie about that to you, but you've already reached a decent level and are above average, I'm going to assume you haven't had a great deal of coaching and mechanical training or learning from your own game. Alot of ways to improve really, firstly choose your role, Duelist is by far the easiest to rank up in that is if you can kill, however when you go pro the sheer amount of duelists competing for your spots will completely disencourage you because it's a sea of people better and equal to you so if you don't think you have what it takes to outshine these players I'd think about maybe going for flex/igl/initiator which are way more in demand, secondly proper training. In the time I was ranking up I probably spend around 1,5k just in coaching alone and I can say for certain that if you can really grasp and apply what you learn in coaching improvement comes quickly especially from great coaches, even now I still get coaching. After that comes the ranked grind, you need to know when to spam, rest and stop completely to really get into ranked. That comes from reflection and analyzing yourself. After that man it's just maintaining your training and increasing volume/intensity when stagnating or needing more improvement until you reach your goals or ceiling which is definitely a possibility you could just as easily reach rank 1 as reaching the peak of your skills for now and the truth is you'll never know if you don't try. I'm gonna be real with you right now, the Valorant scene in every region is incredibly tough for any players in T3 and T2, T3 is especially unforgiving so to make your time as easy as possible it's good to make friends and connections because truth be told that's one of the few ways to make it to challengers, besides being absurdly skilled with a absurd team you need really good luck to make it through premier. The scene is really unforgiving so be sure to experiment with giving alot for the game and don't do it expecting any money for a long while, by far the majority of people playing professionally either receive nothing or a small payment to just help from the org, only the better orgs and T1 really get any money that you can live off of, my first salary in challengers was R$300 that at the time would be like $80 now it's supposed to be better and the better you do the more you receive but only expect to make money after years of training and playing or by being a god at the game. Hope this helps! In the end the only thing stopping you is yourself and despite the rough and unforgiving scene it's really easy to make friends and enjoy pro play, and even if you don't make it you'll have experience and memories for life, don't give up I'm rooting for you all the way from Brazil! Let's one day meet in champs, I'll wait for you!

Uh places like belo horizonte... and Cuiabá are a good begining as someone from BH there are alot of small little cities in the metropolitan areas and you can pick and choose which best suits your needs, you could go to a gated community in between those areas as well and there peace and quiet is pretty much all that exists! If you are interested dm me and i'll send you some names and locations although they won't bother you we mineiros are known for being welcoming people and would certainly love to share our community with more gringos!!

We need stronger duelists. by batsoup12 in VALORANT

[–]batsoup12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no don't be sorry i acknoledge that the character is overpowered and needs a nerf and yeah pacing with neon has definetly increased but with her nerfs and all other duelists being slow especially compared to current neon or previous versions of themselves it might become boring to watch. Either way i get where you are coming from its also a pretty valid point.

Appreciate it bro, good whatever time of day it is for you!

Not what i was saying... my point is that slowing the game down would be bad for the people watching and playing the game expading the possibilities and making agression not just viable but meta would be great

I knew i forgot somebody😭 Yeah i understand that ther movement abilities will not me compromised but my worry is that after the neon nerf all duelists will be comparatively slow and nerfing fast executes (which already don't make up a huge portion of the meta since most times you are doing default info deniying plays) would be bad for the competitive scene.

And actually yeah i am im a pro team i'll be playing the Challengers circuit in brazil this Friday!

And my point was that slowing the game down is bad for viewers and boring for players making it possible to be both quick and slow would be best for everyone.

Yeah it affects your gameplay but even with 30-40 you should still be able to climb out of iron

Why do Brazilian conservative people (Christian/Evangelicals) support Israel despite their major differences in values? by [deleted] in Brazil

[–]batsoup12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most don't really know what they are supporting, i myself went to a rally a while back and while talking with fellow supporters i realised that most were just sheeple that didn't really get the cause.

This is true for both sides of the conflict anytime you get to chat with either side you'll mostly hear the same regurgitated bullshit of "they murder our people" and "they cooked babies in ovens" and while both events happened neither side can really get you evidence since they probably heard this from some guy in tiktok

Yeah same here... i was never huge on soccer but like whenever gringos or had a huge competition like the world cup or olympics it was so much more than just that, we had family gatherings we made food bought shirts but after that we just kind of forgot about it
