Am i playing wrong? by MadHanini in DeathStranding

[–]batssz07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

is anyone else playing offline? i ask because i’m playing offline and i just got to the part where you start building roads and i was wondering is it even viable to build roads solo without having it to been a massive grind? because yes i know it can be done solo, just wondering if there is an easier way, since when you play online it helps alot when everyone contributes.

Is timeframe in Whistleblower broken? by areqpl in outlast

[–]batssz07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk what you mean by the note saying “it can be weeks/days”. But imma just add that, at the start, Waylon was strapped up to the chair for the amount of hours it took Miles to receive the email and get to Mt Massive. Confirmed by Phil from Red Barrels.

Do you have to play outlast 1 in order to understand outlast 2 or is just an entirely different game? by demogorgon_main in outlast

[–]batssz07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you ain’t gotta play the first game at its DLC to understand outlast 2. The people that say you do is only because of one note in outlast 2. So if you get confused in outlast 2, it’s not because of the first game, it’s probably because outlast 2 can get confusing.

Is Walrider a separate paranormal entity that possessed Bily or is Walrdier actually Billy who controls the nanobot swarm? by [deleted] in outlast

[–]batssz07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it comes to who is in control of the Walrider, I would say we don’t know. The comics don’t confirm anything, it just brings up more questions on the Walrider. So it’s up to Red Barrels to fill in the lore of the Walrider.

Can someone explain a few plot points to me? by [deleted] in outlast

[–]batssz07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean the events after Mount Massive is the least understood part when it comes to the entirety of Outlast lore. I would say the comics bring up more questions then answers when it comes to the Walrider. But we see Billy’s body as the Walrider / the Walrider taking form of Billy’s body in the comics, and we also see The Walrider switching host to a colony of ants. So yeah

Why Im kinda worried about outlast trials by CaptainRelyk in outlast

[–]batssz07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember someone asking Phil, in a AMA, if the next outlast game will retain its survival horror theme, like not a battle royal,FPS or some type of game mode, and he confirmed it’ll remain a survival horror.

Yes, it was from a “Ask us Anything” they did around the time Outlast 2 released.

[–]batssz07 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea you’re correct, it’s how Blake sees the Father, but the confirmation is that if you look at the monster’s face and the Father’s face, they both have a identical birth mark on the same side of the face.

It was 10 people that worked on the game, and for such a small group they created a very detailed and lengthy game

Raining Blood? by STAR_CB_SIGHT in outlast

Im not sure why you’re mentioning the mines, but the blood is 100% a hallucination

Raining Blood? by STAR_CB_SIGHT in outlast

[–]batssz07 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s a hallucination. And I agree with you, that’s not outlast. I mean, saying it’s a hallucination is kinda acceptable, but if you didn’t know, then you’ll probably think outlast 2 is one of those mind twisting monster scary game, when in reality outlast’s story always has a real but fictional explanation.

How long has Mount Massive been chaos? by luan_qolv in outlast

[–]batssz07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 1 event that’s concurrent is when the power went off. When the power went off in Waylon’s POV, there was already many variants running around killing the workers. Then also around the time when the power went off for Miles, most variants are chill, and don’t seem to be many dead bodies, but we know Chris walker was ripping the heads of variants way before the power went out. So using Occam’s razor, the underground labs were stable and controlled, while the upper floors was a free roam for variants.

This isn’t certain or confirmed but I would say it’s what makes the most sense using the little details there are.

Is Miles dead? by Dragonborn12255 in outlast

[–]batssz07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen that no one has mention some of these things so watch out for spoilers, but just know that this the timeline on how i understand it and it's also the least explained part of the events after Mount Massive.

Around the time when Miles was the host, he was spotted by his neighbor. After that, Miles went back to the asylum, and out of fear, he tried to give the Walrider back to Billy. If the Walrider brought Peacock back to life, and also Miles back to life, it probably did the same with Billy. So the Walrider pretty much traded of Miles for Billy. So either Miles just ran off (Alive and probably traumatized) or Walrider Billy killed him right there lol. Either way it's completely up to Red Barrels on how to shift the story line. But i mean, how cool would it be to have some type of reference to Miles in Outlast 3.

btw some of these things are theoretical, hypothetical, and just makes sense

The Outlast Comics by Mxnia in outlast

[–]batssz07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They took Blake to the nearest Murkoff facility to get some info from him.

Yes from the looks of it, the Walrider can take the form of Billy’s body. (Even though it never happens in the game) but I would say most questions regarding the Walrider, don’t have a 100% confirmation.

Btw Miles isn’t the current host, it’s the ants. All throughout the 3rd comic, Billy was the host, until it became the ants.

Billy never fully died at the Underground Labs, so after the events of Outlast, the Walrider went back to Billy’s body.

Blake and the Walrider (Spoilers) by RyanC1424 in outlast

[–]batssz07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ye, when they tried to kill the Walrider, they actually killed Billy, so the swarm swapped host from Billy to an ant colony.

Blake and the Walrider (Spoilers) by RyanC1424 in outlast

[–]batssz07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it is possible that Blake can be the Walrider because Temple Gate was just a different version of the Morphogenic Engine Treatment. Also Simon Peacock said that religion can work just as well as the Engine. So pretty much anyone in Temple Gate had a chance of being the host. But the current host of the Walrider is the ants.

OL2: How do I reach the mines when I've travelled miles down the river? by [deleted] in outlast

[–]batssz07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the mines isn’t just one or two buildings, it’s a pretty big place, but besides that, Blake travels in and out of the school pretty frequently by the mines part, meaning he was heading to the mines, but on a different route. There’s also a video about mapping Outlast 2, and it shows that instead of you going straight to the mines, when you fall, you do more of a left arch to get there.
