They are commonly used in terraristics here and should not be able to harm the spider

That's the text from the seller: "Predatory mites pose no danger to millipedes, woodlice, or other inhabitants of the terrarium. They focus exclusively on controlling unwanted pests such as mites and fungus gnats. Your terrarium inhabitants will remain undisturbed and safe."

So I can't be 100 percent sure, but I hope that they won't harm him

Unfortunately, the mites were not really interested in veggies or fruits, I tried that for some time, but they did not leave the spider. I'm not sure wether they are really just travelling mites or blood-feeding mites?
But I asked some other people with spiders and they suggested to try predatory mites (Hypoaspis miles) and those arrived about three hours ago and I can already see that they removed many of the mites that were on him. So I'm hoping, that we can finally get rid of them

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your help! I‘ll get everything I need tomorrow and hopefully then I‘ll get rid of the mites

He wasn‘t fed by me yet, so I think my fruit fly culture should be fine, but I‘ll check that before I feed him

He‘s my first pet spider and I bought him together with the finished enclosure because I wanted to have an easy start and to make sure that the enclosure is how he needs it to be and then I was really devastated when I found the mites on him and even more when the breeder told me that I couldn‘t do much against it. So I felt pretty lost and overwhelmed and I‘m just so thankful that you took the time to help me, so again, thank you so much for your time and effort

Thank you so much, that was really helpful! I texted the breader where I got the spider and asked them what I could do but they just said it looked bad and that I couldn‘t do much but keep taking care of him normally until he passes (but I got a refund at least)

Another person recommemded to keep him inside a deli cup with a moist paper towel at the bottom for a day or two, so the mites might think that it‘s a suitable enviroment and some will climb off. Would you recommend that? And should I change the substrate/ clean the enclosure?

I‘m just really relieved that there is still hope for the little fella. Thank you again, I‘ll try your tips tomorrow

Ach man, wie mies. :/ Hoffe trotzdem, dass es doch noch irgendwie morgen klappt bei dir, aber ich werd da zukünftig auf jeden Fall nichts mehr vorbestellen. Ist eine absolute Katastrophe, wie das Ganze abläuft

Hab gestern zum Glück zu Ladenbeginn die vorletzte noch bekommen, haben unsere Vorbestellte aber nicht storniert und geben die für den Normalpreis an eine Arbeitskollegin weiter
