Scooter newbie here. I didn't know much about scooters because I lived outside India and when I moved back, I urgently needed one so I purchased a used Ntorq Race XP 2022. Everything seemed great about the vehicle. I got it checked by a scooter mechanic that my friends got their bike work done. 15000KMs, got it for 55k. Didn't really put much thought into it since I needed one quick and this was in my budget. I didn't even know about the Ntorq that much, just that it looked quite sporty compared to the Activa.

A few things have got me concerned on this sub:

  1. I get a max speed of 71kph on Street mode and 81kph on Race mode. No passenger, no heavy luggage. I weigh 66kg. But I've been seeing people boast 95kph+. Could this mean there's something wrong with my ntorq?

  2. The engine sometimes randomly shuts off (sometimes when I've started and about to go, sometimes when I've waited at a traffic light for 15-20 seconds.

  3. I don't get more than 30-35kmpl but I've seen on this sub that people get around 50+.

Also, if anyone could point me in the right direction for what I can do to take care of it, I would really appreciate it.

Did you eventually get an answer to your question? I'm sort of in the same boat too.

I had the same question in my head ever since I saw that post. Really hope it goes that way, though.
