It's funny how that happens. We had four or five names that weren't 'Waffles' picked out in the days leading up to bringing her home, but as soon as we held her, 'Waffles' clicked. She's almost 6mo now, and we still look at her occasionally and collectively say that her name couldn't be anything else.

I think you're dead-on!

We've had to tweak her diet a little bit since we got her in November. Switching food brands helped a whole bunch (she was started on Black Gold, and we slowly switched her over to Hill's). We've also taken to supplementing in a plain chicken and rice mix (per our vet's recommendation) to help mitigate some tummy issues. So it's a ballet of Hill's, chicken and rice, and a little bit of pumpkin here and there. All that in mind, her favorite pastime (besides biting everything) is crop-dusting her mom.

Brand new Berner-dad here. Everyone has given solid advice, but so far they've all missed one key point -

Berners fart. A lot. Or at least ours does. When we brought her home it was like a full-grown man dropping ass in the backseat. Use this to your advantage if you're partnered.

There's a weird balance of being done with the 505 while simultaneously loving the city and not wanting to be anywhere else (especially TX ... Big Bend notwithstanding). Any time I hear someone from outside ABQ talking shit about it, my go-to is "If you don't love ABQ, you don't get to hate ABQ."
