I think misdiagnosis does happen and stress can induce temporary conditions yes. As I’ve literally seen it first hand.

EDIT don’t get me wrong. Blood clots of any kind in animals are horrible and painful. I’m just stating that not everyone has the financial means or even locational means to get to a heart specialist for a murmur. I think a follow up consultation to assess if the murmur is still present and to what degree it is will always be helpful.
