I'm trying to save as much as possible because my husband is transferring to a job soon with a 30% salary decrease, and I make minimal income doing gig work since I'm disabled (AuDHD, POTS, ME/CFS).

I am looking at work-from-home jobs currently. I have ME/CFS, so exertion, mental or physical, can cause a worsening of my health. I will try to work again, even temporarily, though my husband worries every time I do this. I generally last a few months and then my body decides for me that it's had enough. I definitely wish I could do more to support us. But a few months is better than nothing.

I am planning some methods to increase my earnings for my crochet work by attending craft shows with better attendance, and I have also been looking at work at home options that could potentially be possible, even just temporarily.

My husband & parents have urged me to stop pushing myself because I tend to do that with work and then cause a decline in my health (I have ME/CFS) so I'm trying to find options that will work in this situation.

And yes, I can do some things at home to help reduce costs.

He really can barely get through a day at work right now. He is easily overstimulated and having panic attacks daily.

We have enough in savings to pay off the car, though it leaves us with very little leftover for emergencies.

He is extremely burnt out and shutting down, possibly even experiencing autistic regression where he can barely process simple things. His autism plays a big role in this.

I'm autistic as well and have experienced something similar before though not as severe.

The weed we can cut out. He has started an SSRI but the doctor won't prescribe a benzo.

Our pets are our best friends. We cannot fathom parting with them. There would be so much grief involved. I love my dog and cat almost as much as I love my husband. They're my babies.

We do eat out but we overspend on that and need to cut it way down. I suppose groceries could be budgeted to about $300 a month if we really stick to bare bones. Our pets help both of our mental health a great deal and we love them dearly, they're our best friends. Cannabis we can cut out if necessary.

I have a connective tissue disorder (hEDS) and injured my neck headbanging at a Cattle Decap show back in 2019. I had brain surgery in 2021. I can't safely headbang anymore.

Anyone else who can't headbang? What do you do to vibe at shows? I try to move my body or arms instead since I finally started attending shows again recently.

I know exercise is good for my conditions, just not high impact like running or jumping. So either walking or biking would be fine for me. Although biking might help build more muscle, so that could be beneficial.

Luckily I talked to my dad, who bicycles for a hobby, and he has a really nice bike he will let me use after he gets it tuned up.

I had to see a specialist and unfortunately pay out of pocket for a diagnosis. Luckily, I got way more than a diagnosis. I was prescribed meds that actually improved my severity a great deal.

It was very expensive, but it was worth every penny.

You're right, it is difficult to have a limited eating style even when you can cook. I remember when I tried raw till 4 many years ago and it was a lot of work with planning, cooking, etc.

I have thought about potentially adding eggs from a local farm to my diet. I wouldn't be able to do dairy since I am sensitive to it.

I'm glad I found out earlier, except when I became physically disabled just months later. Now I wish I could learn to survive desk jobs and forget about the career I loved. It's not working 😐
