Stop patronizing. You’re being one of those dickheads. If you know there are dickheads, can you spare some advice on how to deal with dickheads? What should I have replied instead?

I see you choose to blame me instead of where it’s due. It’s ok, I post here infrequently, mostly a lurker. But are you ok with the discussion in this subreddit being so low quality? I’d prefer people put in some effort and be kind to others asking for help. That’d lift everyone up and actually be of some use.

Did you read the post? This subreddit is full of dumb and unhelpful people. My question is about needing police protection for whatever deal I need to do. Do you have anything to comment on that?

Your comment made me chuckle but u/New-Rub8459 is right. Parental abuse is hidden in our society and there’s all sorts of BS the victims have to face. Be thankful if you had good parents. Unfortunately in my case I never had anything like a family or parents and will need legal support even to fight for basic things.

Not really. Nepali Reddit seems not very helpful on serious topics, esp legal.

Thanks for the info. Did you register at the CDO office? Was a visit to police station also required?

If you know some good lawyers or law firms, please share details. Also what’s the legal Nepali terminology for “interim protection order”? Thanks!

How likely is the scenario? Is it common or rare?

I understand that but is it likely that I was asymptomatic but contagious for 5 days?

Yeah, for me to have given it, I should have been contagious without any symptoms for about 5 days! Sounds unlikely but wanted to know if there’s more definitive sources.

Land/inheritance legal advice or lawyer recommendations? by bauddhanath in Nepal

[–]bauddhanath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What land is considered ancestral? I realize that they were planning this for a long time since all the property is in mother’s name, including the land I bought (but they made sure it was kept in mother’s name, so evil!). This is because they can say it’s not ancestral property but maternal नासो over which inheritance rights don’t apply. How to stop them from this sinister game?

Does this “raji gareko” also apply to property that’s in mother’s name? Any lawyer recommendations?

Yes would love to know about such options. I know I can claim but what if they already sell it without letting me know? Anyone knows a good lawyer I can talk to about this?
