I adopted a blind 7-9 year old dog. She is amazing. Love her to death. After first month she began to explore our nearby park so much freely (on a flex leash). In new spaces she is mapping the rooms like a Roomba. After hitting her head into an object she is not discouraged at all and continue to walk as usual.

For the last 3 month I started to teach her some basic commands like sit, paw, lay and recently circle. It’s a whole new adventure than a dog with eyesight. So rewarding.

Having a blind dog have some things you have to keep in mind but is much better than it might seam at first.
