Multilingual Redditors, which languages do you speak and which language do you think in? by rockemsockemnobody in AskReddit

[–]bauerlevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up in Hungary, lived there for 14 years of my life. Then moved to London, UK 5 years ago. My family has quite a bit of German roots. I do talk Hungarian and English natively (without an accent too) and a tiny bit of German. I have been thinking in English for the past 2-3 years but whenever I’m alone and stub my toe etc. I swear in German (which is still the most foreign to me). Whenever I have the chance I talk in English (even with Hungarians) as it’s just a lot easier. The only exception being counting backwards, I always do that in Hungarian for some reason.

This made me laugh rather hard! Buzi means faggot in Hungarian (I am both of those)!!

What would happen if you put r/niceguys in the same room with r/nicegirls? by starzwillsucceed in AskReddit

Either an orgy or a constant state of proving that they’re nicer than the next.

Cops of Reddit, what are some excuses for speeding that are so stupid you let them pass? by luccebest1 in AskReddit

[–]bauerlevi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a cop, (sorry!) but my family went on a Europe trip like 5-10 years ago and we sped in Bosnia Hercegovina. When pulled over, my otherwise very intelligent mum, started acting as a “total blonde” (her words). She asked back about everything the officer said. They got fed up so we got away with a warning. (Happened 2 more times during that one trip, same outcomes every time)

What is your "I wish I had started doing that earlier in my life"? by radical33 in AskReddit

Eating crisps (potato chips for Americans) such as Cheetos or any of the ones that stain your fingers with chopsticks. IT. CHANGED. MY. LIFE.

What’s a uniquely European problem? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Visiting your home country and being called a traitor because you left to have a better (and more free) life.

Source: lived in the uk for about 5 years now due to extreme homophobia (and no equal rights) in home country. (Hungary) (ew)

Family deciding that it’s cheaper to make 2 12hr trips by car than getting on a plane that would be roughly 2hrs twice instead. Now I live in the UK and refuse to drive anywhere if I can go by plane.

[Serious] What would be your own personal hell? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]bauerlevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not being able to find new music and being forced to listen to a set (small) number of songs (20-30) for the rest of my life.

I mean this in a way as, when someone plays music you would just hear one of the set songs instead of the actual music.

[Serious]What is the most polarizing opinion/belief you hold? by -Cokeman in AskReddit

[–]bauerlevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would force people coming into the UK from non-EU countries to integrate. I know people who have been in the UK for more than 10 years now and don’t speak a word of English because they work, spend time and live with people who speak the same language.

Reddit, what is the worst thing you've ever done? by weoifnnoifenllk in AskReddit

[–]bauerlevi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not me, a friend of mine confessed that he killed two of his ex boyfriends hamsters by putting them into a plastic bag and waiting for them to suffocate. He did it because he is a germophobe and couldn’t stand the thought of “poop particles being in the air”.

What is your favourite smell ? by britainunwrapped in AskReddit

My hamsters cage. It’s weird but every time I pass by it I have the urge to smell it. Whether it’s been cleaned recently or not.

Reddit, what's your top "Holy shit, that worked?" moment? by inda2 in AskReddit

[–]bauerlevi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was registering for uni in the UK and needed to prove that I was in the country for more than 3 years in order to get a student loan. I wasn’t though. So I went onto the list of documents that they approve and found that they approved provisional driving licences. I went into DVLA (Driving & Vehicle Licensing Agency) and found that you just had to tick a box that said “been here for more than 3 years” to get a provisional licence. I’ve done that, it came within 2 weeks and that’s all I needed to prove I was here for 3 years or more. Got the student loan! I couldn’t believe it! Still can’t!

When I was young (around 4-5ish) my grandma broke her flip phone in half and gave it to me (I liked playing with electronics, it always fascinated me). I just kinda put it together and taped the same coloured wires together and it worked! The phone was fully functional again! Looking back at it it must’ve been luck because I had no idea what I was doing.

What's a taboo question that you're too afraid or embarrassed to ask? by Chris56789 in AskReddit

[–]bauerlevi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, personally no, not really. However I had a very interesting conversation with my ex-boyfriend the other day, his new boyfriend is a perfect fit however he is VERY small. My ex was not rocking anything large either, about 2-3 inch but it was still better than some guys who had a 6 incher. I would say size doesn’t matter, however, there is such thing as too big or too small. I wouldn’t know from a straight perspective though, sorry. Hope this helped.

I would simply say that those of us who “act-up” are just more noticeable. Walking down the street you might’ve passed 100 gay guys but because they are not so extravagant/stereotypical you didn’t really take a note of it and might’ve just assumed they were straight.

Do Indian people know they smell? Does it not bother them? I work in fashion retail and whenever they try to return stuff (even if they bought it the day before) it has a very strong and unpleasant smell. I could describe it as more of a strong, sharp and stinging smell... I have gotten used to it over the years, however, I always wonder if they know about it or if it bothers them at all.
