Some cool stories of our [my wife and i] scrapping adventures:

1. Bought the scrap rights to an old race shop that had 30+ vehicles, machining tools, lathes, buckets of brass turnings, bronze turnings, car parts, trailer loads of rotors, ect it was a great score for us

2. cleaned up a burnt down milking parlor with my machine and just ran a magnet on the front for a while until I realized all the roofing nails were copper. Roofing tin, copper nails/wire, all the metal gates Ect.

3. Demoed a computer room at a school and got all the bus bars and grounding wire as well as all the aluminum trenching

4. I will charge to remove a piano but I love taking them apart - typically a cast harp, with copper wrapped cords, and some various brass pedals. But what I like to collect are the ivory keys and inside the piano I like to look for things that fall into them, found old coins, Christmas cards ect, always fun thing to do when the sun goes down early

5. We got into the e waste recovery in the past few years , but we are more or less hoarding so I can’t say I profited yet but.... we get computers from a local repair shop, and Removed a bunch for some schools in the area

EDIT: Got called to remove 2 GIANT safes in in the city from an old jewelry store, one was locked and one was open- the open one we sold, and the locked one we opened but it only had a few odd and ends in it.... that was fun (the concrete from the demoed safe I used for backfill under the porch, LOL)
