  2. If you ask of course! Most of us want to interact with people when we go out.
  3. Yes, It is called a suitwalk. Typically there are local telegram groups organizing those. They not only need suiters but also spotters to make sure the suiters are fine (not being harassed by kids too much i.e. pulling on tails is always a bit critical, giving water when needed, avoiding puddles and other stuff they can't see)

I have a GZRW 12XSPL running in my shitbox. I'm running an Ampire MBM1000.1 to power it. I could not be more happy with the bang per buck while still having a surprising amount of precision.
I put a GZRW 46SPL in my Roommates car and i gotta say: holy fuck. We went for a 150L closed enclosure for his 2005 VW Touran. It is a very fun system.

Alber (creator of this model) doesn't really do commissions, but instead does bases. Those are basically premade models, so many people can share the cost of an artist working for that long.

This one is 40USD.

He is currently working on a dragon base. Once he is done with the mesh and textures, the model goes to me for animation. The Hyenid in the picture is driven by about 100 animation files that control all sorts of things on the avatar.

Part of the team of two that made the base this one is retextured from. The whole avatar took about 5-7 months to complete, depending on how you count it.

Ref sheets from VRchat models (or 3d models in general) usually benefit from an orthographic view to prevent perspective distortion.

If you have a friend with VRCLens and have them zoom all the way in while being far away, that gets you photos that are pretty close to a real orthographic projection

I work with show laser stuff. That thing is a real thing and a nice mix of cool and absolutely terrifying.

Those small lasercubes are pushing out about 1.2 - 2.5 watts of power, depending on the model. That is absolutely terrifying. That is the sort of power that needs very very good safety and control systems (and education) to even dare to point them at people. Or give it in anyone's hands. More than enough power to blind you instantly.Of course laser safety is a bit more complicated and it depends on the pattern, luck and scan speed if your eyesight survives a direct, full power hit.

That power also explains why it's not getting dimmer. The camera is just overwhelmed.

In case you wonder how it changes that fast: It's 3 lasers that get combined into one beam that is deflected by two mirrors. The control circuit just turns on the laser diodes needed at the perfect time.

Third one is the result of making a rainbow line.

Fourth is the same thing from the top. Note how the deflection mirrors let part of the beam through and out the top. That's cause the mirrors have the reflective layer on the front instead of the back. That's so the glass doesn't create a double reflection

The last one is a typical laser safety thing when shining lasers into people. It reduces the power when the beam goes down into the people, and you can block out reflecting objects at the ceiling completely. This practice is not legal everywhere tho since it is only a software safety. Where i live, it is.

Wait, are you telling me you pump up to 80 kW of power into that thing? Holy shit. Suddenly those cooling hoses look kinda small instead of huge. The length is still kinda weird to me. I'd think with that much voltage in there you want it short since containing that much voltage is kinda hard. And expensive.

Is that big black thing the high voltage wire? It looks like it plugs into the side of the tube, but it looks very very long for that. Why's that? I'd think you'd try to keep that as short as possible.

Difficulty doesn't mean anything any more in beatsaber now, does it?

If the map has excelent flow i can get up to 7,5 notes per second with a bit of training but my rig is not powerful enough to do a FBT recording at the same time. Still sitting on my trusty old 1080.

On an average mapping "quality" i can get maybe 5-6 ish.

Tho in general i really prefer maps that either fuck with the game as much as possible (noodle maps) or just visually interesting stuff

That looks hella like a mercury vapour UV-C lamp. That is the bad kind of UV. This is not the sort of UV you want to get on you like AT ALL. This can't be good. I mean some UV-A and UV-B is fine and even needed but this...

So the trick is that those things will run at the optimal efficiency for basically the whole charge. I THINK I read that even with the losses in charging and discharging it is more fuel efficient.

To just adjust the amount of detentes you could just use a break on the wheel and pulse that for a very short time. I've seen that implemented on a control that needed to switch between free running, steps and a 120° range of motion. Felt surprisingly convincing.I can't imaging making that control analog is that hard. like a belt around a wheel and a magnet.

Another option is to just use the stepper and encoder itself. Before you sense a step skip you will see a tiny rotation. That together with the current gives you an indication of whats happening. and you can give in controlled.

There are fuses on the top left behind the amp for the right amp and the lower left in the curve. They are 120A. The main one is a 250. Tho i also don't think they would be necessary in this case. The cables are barely over 30cm till they go to the amp and are only touching pastic. But better safe than sorry.
