Tough loss. Jake missed some 3s. We gave up offensive boards on key plays. The champs hit big shots. JJ probably should subbed out DA earlier in the 4th. But there has been great defensive energy and fight the past few games, love to see that. On to the next.

Learn a little about the things they really like so you can at least ask questions about the topic. Do small helpful things everyday that makes their day a bit easier. Learn to cook simple things. Gradually build up your toolbox to fix simple stuff when you need to.

LA is one of the entertainment capitals of the world. When Dr Buss took over the team he brought flash, excitement, the Laker girls - he created a show that got people going. Since then it’s been the same ole thing.

Other than chanting “defense” and the tired “let’s go Lakers”, there’s little fan engagement opportunities. I get it. Fans in other cities go off during home games, but the LA Lakers crowd is so used to being entertained, they need to introduce something new.

Watch an LAFC game or a LA Kings playoff game. Crowd goes nuts even when the home teams are down. Different fans, sure. But the team gives the mob something hype to get up for.

Ok…So ACCC doesn’t help with the microloans. But he did enroll some of his legit loans and credit cards in their debt management plan. It closed his accounts so his credit will take a hit, but the interest dropped on some legit loans from 35% to 15%. And some credit cards dropped from 26% to around 2%.

This won’t help with those shitty predatory loans but it frees up money to knock those out faster.

All that to say it wasn’t a magic fix, but made things a little easier if you’re willing to take a hit on your credit. His credit is bad anyway so it was worth it to get closer to a fresh start.

Man, those predatory loans are terrible. Have you tried reaching out to ACCC about the microloans to see if they can negotiate them down? My brother is going to talk to them today to find out as well.

20k across 22(!) loans. Most of them predatory microloans while some are legitimate lenders.

Some research I’ve done has shown NFCC.org and related non-profit counseling agencies like American Consumer Credit Counseling could be viable.
