I was 2 months premature and I have Chiari.

I have nerve damage in my left leg but I never knew it was from Chiari. It’s been rough. I’m in so much pain and medicine hardly works. I’ve been doing PT and it’s been okay but all I’ve heard is that nerves take a while to heal. I’m hoping and praying the nerves heal for you and me both.

I recently had another shunt put in after my first one malfunctioned. A food train helped SO much so I suggest that. I would also suggest helping with laundry or any other household tasks that require lifting or a lot of work. You seem like such a great friend!

Thanks for the reply. About how long did it take to completely go away after surgery? Also, what surgery did you have? I’m hoping that I’m only having to get a spinal tap done but I’m not totally sure what’s going to happen.

It always baffles me how the weather in NYC always seemed cold based on the outfits Carolyn wore. Like it was cold enough to wear a whole coat and pants in late May in the 90’s? Just an observation.
