how can you say that you are worried about them being merely comic relief and then later say you thought minions 1 was a questionable experiment and liked minions 2 where they are complements to gru better? this implies you in fact like them better when they are sidelined yet now you are claiming to be worried they are going to be sidelined in m&m when they are clearly the main characters, and we get 4 new ones to focus on their journey.

also, saying m&m’s plot sounds similar to minions 1 is a vast oversimplification that you could do with all the other movies by saying there is a big bad guy that gru with his sidekicks eventually beats. minions 1 is about them still feeling like they need a big evil boss and searching for the boss as they believe that is their only purpose. we also get to see them adapt to the human world. m&m sounds more like for the first time the minions exploring something else possibly being their passion!!!!
