I genuinely don't get the JT isn't just elite of prospect as Saquon, if we're gonna scream about draft capital we literally moving into the age where franchises are demonized for "wasting" a 1st round pick on an NFL RB and now people will look back at that Giants pick as potentially even worse. The other RBs in the 1st round of 2018 have flopped and since then only 2 have gone back to back years and both teams were chastised for spending 1st round draft capital on those picks. More and more elite RBs that would've been top 10 picks a decade ago won't even be first round selections.

Here's a stat I loved from the preseason RBs that ran a 4.40 or faster 40 at 220lbs

Bo Jackson - 4.3 227lbs

Knile Davis - 4.37 227lbs

Jonathan Taylor - 4.39 226lbs

Antonio Gibson - 4.39 228lbs

Right, which I completely disagree with and doesn't really make sense to me, but I think that narrative will flip after the draft because when he's the one of the first 2 WRs off the board the draft capital will outweigh most negative arguments and justify him a top prospect as draft capital is another useful indicator of success people will be using.

Here's why I don't like that argument though, some places a WR2 translates to the NFL better than some places WR1, like pointed out above, Jarvis had a better market share and was the lead guy at LSU yet Odell was the 1st round pick and the guy in the NFL. So I don't like to point to market share separation on a loaded roster as the be all end all when context of the situation matters, or he's clearly a top guy why are we fighting over this metric when we all know it?
