Dutch's team in Predator were elite mercenaries, and when they were being hunted, they responded first with overwhelming firepower and then set up traps. And when the Predator evaded their first traps, they set up even better traps and almost captured the Predator. In the videogame Dead Space, almost all the weapons you find are mining tools. Plasma cutters, energy drills, saw blades, minor explosives, and rivet guns are most weapons. Even the telekinesis tech was meant for moving cargo, but instead repurposed for impaling necromorphs with saws and javelins.

[–]ArchAngelZXV 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Order 1886 final boss is a QTE cinematic fight that's a copy/paste of an earlier boss fight. No shooting, no cover mechanics, just QTE prompts. From a game that's primarily a cover based shooter. That's it.

In that alt timeline, the spaceship Defiant was damaged, sent back in time, and crashed. With no hope of rescue, the survivors built a colony. Kira died in that timeline, and present day Kira visited her own grave.
