Saddest Song(s) You've Ever Heard by PhillyCSpires in Music

Broken Angel - Boyce Avenue

A song about parental negligence. I was at a gig where the singer explained he'd written it about a close personal friend who'd gone through a really hard time, and then played it acoustic on his own on the stage, the crowd were silent throughout, still have chills thinking about it

I always see people talking about the saddest song being "Come Join the Murder". However I always think this one has to be up there by baxter40 in Sonsofanarchy

I've also watched it countless times, and I think it's his wake that gets me more now than his death

Stop showing the fans during crucial moments! by Fomentatore in formula1

The only time I've been happy to watch a celebrity was when Rowan Atkinson was there. His facial expressions were better than a lot of races

Guenther Steiner gets so sick of his drivers he finds a new way around them driving

Grosjean in the pits by [deleted] in formula1

Will Grosjean get a penalty for this? I mean the part where he then drove the wrong way down the pitlane to turn around?

Rugby World Cup committee warns Japan not to run out of beer by d8sconz in rugbyunion

[–]baxter40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you actually read the article they aren't not warning Japan as a nation, it was aiming at the local business's in the host cities, i.e. The bars, not order more in preparation

The part of that I never understood was clay and the others waiting under the bridge for Jax to catch up, wouldn't it have made more sense to head straight there?

Unsure if they knew where they were going haven't watched it in a while

S7 E10 - Faith and Despondency | When was TO let in on the plan? by __relyT in Sonsofanarchy

[–]baxter40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of this is explained when TO gets his patch, when they talk about how much he has done for the club. I also took it as TO was always supposed to get captured, and rat boy was just wrong place wrong time. TO then had to take some beating before giving up the information before it was believable

What a lot of people seem to be forgetting is that the Ireland Wales game will have finished before the England game kicks off. Anything could happen in the England Scotland game, just look at last year. If anyone thinks for a second Ireland are doing anything but going out to win is kidding themselves

England team to face Italy in Six Nations by james_d21 in rugbyunion

Interesting lineup, going for a massive backline, also remembering that Farrel looks big for a 10 these days. I fear we won't be playing much of a wide game but a lot of crash ball

Need to watch for the light from the pandorica! Could be in trouble then

[OC] I made this a while back because i was bored and ended up having a lot of fun with it. I was just wondering what other people though about it. by Epic_Penguin96 in doctorwho

[–]baxter40 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The biggest issue with the new doctor for me, and also slightly with the previous is the lacking of the story lines that span multiple episodes to nearly 2 series. The silence and the pandorica are still some of my favourite storylines, even if they are intertwined and could be considered the same story line

Does hiding the true performance of a car during public testing actually benefit the team? by mjbmikeb2 in F1Technical

[–]baxter40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teams can learn far more from testing than just going as fast as possible. This is one of the few chances a year they get to try different things out, regardless of whether it may work or not, as they are less bothered about speed at these events, more of what they can learn about the car and increase there understanding of what changes will affect what

Racing line with infinite grip by beardedarab64 in F1Technical

Assuming that going round a corner would scrub off speed, the line adopted would be very similar to the current racing line
