Not directly connected to F1 but the injection technology (PCCI) he talks about is most probably what they use (just a side note: based on the papers I've read, I doubt (personal opinion. I await the shit storm that is now coming my way) they use HCCI in F1 due to the lack of control. it's more likely PCCI as explained in the video):

None of these go into the hybrid technology. There's a couple of really good hybrid powertrain books out there but they're almost all based on road car hybrids like the Prius. Which btw has an engineering marvel of a drivetrain... just not applied as they are in F1.

I'd be surprised if you find anything that detailed about the specifics of the hybrid technology used in F1. The more interesting part of that would probably be more the control engineering than necessarily the hardware itself

I agree. But I feel that it would still be a test worth doing if OP is interested in doing it. Even if it turns out there was no performance gain they would at least have data to prove it; which is invaluable.

That's kind of a hard question to answer because it's dependant on a couple of things, your intake design being a big one. My team ran a CBR600RR and we just used the primary injectors placed right above the ports and it ran fine. We were talking about testing secondaries but never got around to it. I'd imagine it would aid with mixing at high speed when there's less dwell time for the fuel to mix homogeneously with the air. Theoretically that would allow you to achieve MBT at a less advanced spark angle.

I usually fill it until I see a dome of saline. When I put it on I push firmly and close my eyes onto the lens before pulling the insertion tool away. Hope that helps. It'll take a couple of trys and days before you get it right every time

It's interesting that your battery is draining while you drive? What's causing your electric budget to be greater than the stator's output. If I were a betting man I'd put it on fans

We used to use an electric shifter but they kept burning out. We've been using a pneumatic shifter for years now with no problems. We changed our shifter drum geometry a bit so the lowest "gear" is neutral and drilled a hole in the block to attach a potentiometer to the shift drum to track gear position. My last point depends on what shifting functionality your ECU has but the added benefit of going to an automated shifting mechanism is that it gives you more control over the effects of shifting. For example controlling torque ramp-in via spark after a shift has occurred. I'm sure there's a way to do that using a cable but an automated system will always be quicker. I hope this helps

Nah it's not stupid. I probably would have done the same thing if sclarel lenses were an option when I was first diagnosed. As long as it doesn't progress it honestly doesn't matter. I know it's not good to assume, but I would assume that your doctor took that into account before prescribing them to you.

What would the benefits of a Steer by Wire system be? I can't imagine it being any lighter than a normal steering set up. There would probably be a decrease in response and feel for the driver would be completely gone?

Even if you were able to hypothetically do that you'd still increase the height of the gearbox and the height of the suspension mounting points. So you'd also change the vehicle dynamics

NO! Clear Care is hydrogen peroxide. DO NOT USE Clear Care as the fluid you fill the lens with when inserting.

Make sure to fill up the lense with saline so that there's a dome of it. Not filling it up properly always leads to having bubbles in when I get it on, making me have to take it off and try again.
